Can't believe you got a Cane Corso!!!  Those are quite possibly (in my NOT so humble opinion) the most bad ass dogs on the planet.  They've got a bad reputation, but each dog is unique.  Looks like you've got a lap dog on your hands there.

I am a huge Mastiff fan.  I've got a 175lb. Bull Mastiff named "Boomer".  I could not ask for a better dog.  Every time I get around my relatives little yappy dogs (I call them "punt-ables"), I am so thankful for my dog.  He is the perfect family dog and has - on occasion - scared the everlivin' crap outta a few shady characters that got too close to my wife.  :cooldude:

One last thing - vet bills suck for large dogs.

:cooldude:  I'm also a large dog lover.  Personally, my feeling is if you gonna have a dog, have a real dog.  My wife has a rescued Pyrenees/Boxer mix.  Good dog, weighs about 110 lbs.  Dumb as a box of rocks but loyal as one can be.  No one dares enter the house with out a family member accompaning them if they wish to retain all of their extremities.

Then, there's Jake.  Sir Jacob of Georgetown.  Purebred Bullmastif.  He's my buddy and loves to travel with me.  He takes up the entire backseat of my extended cab Dodge Ram.  Typically, I'll look back and he'll be stretched out, laying on his back sleeping on any trips more that twenty miles.

Tried to teach him to drive but, he likes to hang his head out the window and his drool always seems to blow back in.   ;)  Jake is only about 150 lbs.  Unfortunately,  similar to other large dog breeds, they only live about 10 to 12 years normally.  Most likely Jake will be followed by another of the Mastif breed.  Not sure which one yet.  Thought about cross breeding Jake with a Neopolitan but I'm thinking the pups would be fugly.

Cane Corso, beautiful dogs, and yes they sometimes get a bad rap. I have a bumper sticker that reads
"There are no bad dogs just bad OWNERS, Train don't complain.
I personally own Labs . Researched a lot of large breeds, but hate the fact they have a short life Span. I get too connected to my girls. Here is a photo of them.

Those are ours but we love them all. My wife and I raise and train Labs , and teach a public obedience class. She goes a bit further, and finds ,test, and trains service dogs. Here  is  photo of  Diesel the son of my chocolate girl Kahlua. He finished his training today and was placed with his partner. I'm very proud of the things my wife and our dogs do for others.
But back to the Cane Corso we have one now in our public obedience class which happens to be all bigger dogs this time
and here is Bugatti the Cane Corso in the advanced obedience class he is 10 months old 105 lbs. and a sweet heart.

OOOoh! Since we've changed this into a "Show off your dog" thread, here's ours:

Kira, the 12+ year old yellow lab mutt who's slowed WAY down by arthritis, but becomes a 1 year old puppy for just a few seconds if someone throws a ball, and Hank, the "Warlock" Doberman (That's what the vet said he is) that we rescued from the pound. 120 pounds, and he can jump up and put his paws on most people's shoulders... And, he thinks he's a lap dog...

Never ask a geek 'Why?',just nod your head and slowly back away...

We are partial to Boxers ourselves. We have 2 at the moment. A 14 year old male, Atlas, and a 5 year old female, Venus.
We had to have Atlas' son put down a year ago last Christmas. Still hard to take.

this is my old buddy Atlas

This is Atlas on the left, Venus in the middle and J.R. on the Right (RIP)

I have a Cane Corso named Max as well!  He is a four year old fawn colored male.  I left his ears uncropped.

Max was given to me by Angela, the breeder.  Max was born extremely shy and timid and would just sit in the corner.  He would drop a load if anyone came up to pet him   :o!  Angela's breeding partner wanted to have Max put down because no one would buy a timid Cane Corso.  Angela said no to this and gave Max to me    :cooldude:.  I already had two Golden Retrievers, Cenzo and Ozzy, and Angela thought the Goldens would bring Max out of his shell.  Her intuition was right   :)!  It took about 18 months for Max to be confident with himself and other dogs.  He will be protective of the pack should another dog get too "frisky."  He is by far the smartest dog I have ever had.  Max and Ozzy get together especially well and often sleep together.  Max eats a lot and when he farts..........oh man   :-[.

Sorry no pictures as I am travelling cross country with the dogs right now.
