I'm not a clean my motorcycle addict, but that maintenance/cleaning schedule is just wrong - I don't care who you are.

Makes Dan'l look like a neat freak, eh! How 'bout them Hippo Hand type grip covers. Probably didn't want to rust out his jewelry? ~Jeff

Heh...washed mine a few days ago...and then yesterday ran through about 20 miles of construction on I-30 where they were using the wet saws to cut out concrete segments...

Go a few hundred feet, splash though that slick yet incredibly sticky concrete/water slurry, go a mile, splash through some more etc...

Actually had to stop and clean the windshield after that.

That'll learn me!

Houdini,
That looks like a daily commuter in EC somewhere. Rain/ice/salt/snow whatever gotta go to work bike. I don't think that bike has any carb problem from sitting to long. They like to use salt a lot in the winter and if that is your only transportation that's what it will look like after 10 years. I 'll bet it still runs good.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

That's what they said in the posts but if he is putting on that many miles the oil filter should be changed often enough to not have time to rust.

I think that's dirt, not rust.
