Wolo horn mount help

[Sourdough]

I just got a Wolo air horn for my 01 I/S and not sure where to mount it. I have
fog lights in my pods, so I don't think it will fit in there. Any ideas, suggestions,
or photos would be appreciated. Maybe this is the wrong style air horn for an I/S ?

I suppose it depends on whether you are trying to hide it or not.  I have a chrome one and I made a right angle bracket and mounted it just in front of the fuel shutoff valve on my Standard.  The horn sits perpendicular to the length of the bike and as I recall there is a threaded bolt there you can use to mount a bracket to.  Looks good there to me.

For a hidden application, I mounted my wife's under the swing arm.  The plate there is just a filler and you can use self-tapping screws on it to hold your bracket in place.

Mine (Stebel) is attached via a bracket to the kickstand cross-member (sorry, no pics).  If you go that route, make sure it won't interfere with a lift adapter.

Here's mine.  I do have to pull two wires and loosen one nut to pull the horn out of the way of the lift adapter, but the bracket stays in place.  Do a search for more horn mounting locations.  If I remember correctly, look for a pic of STEELERS setup.

Yep, those two are in the same location as mine.  Mine is just turned 90 degrees.

About like this, I have a 12V outlet mounted right there kinda behind and beside the Stebel.
I tried a couple times to mount it in the pod and I have the factory fog lights and there is NO way I found to make it fit in a Pod.



Although if you can't see the 12V outlet, thats because I removed it temporarily during this reinstall this afternoon.

FYI,, I actually had to touch up my Chrome Stebel since it has sort of lost its shimmer. I found this Chrome like paint that is definetly NOT chrome but it is a very shiny silver more like semi polished aluminum. So if yours is not chrome and you end up putting out in the open you may want to consider a little spray job.
