I have never seen a shuttle launch, but have always wanted to.  I plan to leave the Baton Rouge/ New Orleans area on the morning of Feb. 22 for a road trip to see the launch at Kennedy, 5pm Feb. 24th.  I plan on watching from "Space View Park" in Titusville.
Anybody want to go?

I want to go, however I don't know if my work schedule will let me.

I'm mulling it over, I'm about 3 hours or so away.  Trouble is, I'd have to take a day off work.  Not a big deal, but they postpone the launches so often I'm afraid I won't be able to see it.

We used to be able to see the launches from our front lawn (I'm on the Florida west coast) but the trajectory when they go to the ISS is low enough that they don't rise above the horizon anymore.
