I ride a motorcycle because nothing transports me as quickly from where I am to who I am.

Great looking stones, been looking for someone to teach me masonry work. Looks like U Da Man.

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

Nice job, one question, did you put the brick anchors in?

hotglue #43

Thanks guys.... it was hard work but I think it came out pretty good.
Yeah ... I put in anchors, screwed to the studs from the 2nd course up.....Also put up metal lathe.....so mortar that pushed to the back would have an anchor to the wall.  Hopefully it will stay up!!!!
This is my 2nd attempt at masonry.... the 1st was building the fireplace on the patio....Can't be skeered...LOL...think it through......and just go for it..... the VERY WORST that could happen is.... I have ta tear it all out...... :o.LOL  my main concern is that the mortar had enough set time before the freezing weather.... it had 20 hrs?!?!?!?!?!  but it seems to be tight..... I'll check it out in the morning.

Well, had to ask!  Seen brick pull from the wall because someone left the anchors out!
