I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

The problem with Socialists is they eventually run out of other people's money to spend!

Some people are too stupid to realize how ignorant they are.

Yeah Joe! I thought flying wasn't one of a few of your favorite things? ???

Challenger

Looks like an R-22, Did you get to go up in it? Local farmer has one here and we have used it for search and rescue a couple of times. I love to go up in that thing.

Very true I don't like to fly however " IF " I did with this one I'd only have myself to blame if it plowed into the side of a  mountain . Unlike getting on a big ass air bus and never seeing the dude you just trusted your life with. This one was being traded in my company just bought ( 4 ) new ones . I hauled this one outside of Nashville to a heavy equipment dealers yard.

Yup, pretty unbelievable the fine control a skilled pilot has in a chopper!

Yeppers, they're fun to fly, owning one would be a little expensive.  If we ever actually ride together, remind me to tell you about my last recon flight.  Something I think you'll appreciate.  ;)

Cool

Why don't you hook us all up with a Helicopter Ride.

Never even sat in one.

Looks like you are a natural.

One of my all time favorites.  Greatest scout ship and super crashworthy,  main combat weakness was oil cooler, not armored, and located behind the aft cabin firewall where bad guys could take it out shooting at occupants.  Fast and very manuverable.  Hughes got it right on this one.  Teamed with the AH1G Cobra was a deadly hunter killer team.  Ive got time in both and been in sticky situations in both, and lived to tell about it.  Us Cobra jocks used to joke that you could tell where the enemy was on the ground by the burning LOACH.

I was in uncle sugars canoe club or tonkin gulf yacth club tween 1964-1968-had exactly 2 helicopter rides-first and last-gimme a cat shot and an arrested landing any time. Mucho preffered over a whirly bird. :) I also wasn't to fond of ridin the bosuns chair either :2funny:

Two things you rarely see; old helicopters and old helicopter pilots.  I've been flying fixed wings for years but retired to riding bikes instead.  Flying and biking are very similar.  You are constantly using both feet, both hands, head and eyes with either.  Not a lot of difference except for altitude.

Fixed wing pilots will tell you that helicopters fly because they are so UGLY that the Earth repels them!

Joe... on the subject of getting on an airbus trusting your life to a guy you never met...  we, as bikers, trust our lives to hundreds of people we have never met every time we straddle our bikes, and voyage out into the land of cagers.

Flying commercial is WAY safer than driving bro.  I respect your phobia.. but call it what it IS.   :uglystupid2: :2funny:

I've also heard said that helicopters don't fly, they beat the air into submission.

You'd never do the trade.

I don't see any chrome on it and there's nowhere to put your car tire on that thing.  :cooldude:

Trade?  straight across ?  or would you get some cash along with it :)

Me thinks a chopper would be a lot like a boat... Buying it is really just a down payment, then you've gotta start the continuous stream of money keeping it maintained!

I don't like flying and I'll tell ya straight up I don't. however a couple shots of 'dutch courage' and I'm like Ron White 'just auger this thing hard enough that I don't limp away.'

While I love the helos.. your right on that point.  They are maintenance hogs.  Hell, all aircraft are expensive but they take it to another level.
