Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has the coupon for the Harbor Freight Motorcycle Lift, # 91764? I think it was in some motorcycle magazines, which I don't get. Seems to be several of them, some expire in May, some in June. The lift table is normally $499, with coupon it's $299. I need one, if anyone has one...

(this isn't my coupon, but what it looks like - also, I've heard there's one out there for $279)

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated...

I'm not sure if it will work - last time I bought an engine hoist, they wouldn't accept a "copy" - had to be the original coupon. This coupon says the same thing that one did, and they quoted, "Original coupon must be presented...". Not sure if it's the HF that's closest to me, or all of them, but it's 1 1/2 hours away, and I'd hate to get there, and have them pull that on me, again. Hopefully, someone will have one, that they don't need, and can clip out and mail my way, if it's another ad on the flip side...

thanks, though.

EDIT - I'll try to give them a call, today, and question them on it, though - that WOULD be the easiest way.

You can also check this site out and see if there is anything worth your time:

www.retailmenot.com

Just type "Harbor Freight" into the search box, then select harborfreight.com and see what is returned.  They either give you a printable coupon code, or a code you can enter if purchasing online.  It also lists a "success rate" that others have had in trying to use that coupon/code.

Here is a link to the Motorcycle Mags ad. It's in there for  $279

http://www.harborfreight.com/magurl4?hftref=cj

I don't know if they will let you use the 20% also?

Happy shopping.

Sorry. I just noticed that Motorcycle page is old. Coupons expired.
I,ll see if I can find a current one.
Strange.. The first part of that thread is normally updated.

what else rocks is going to the store and having the b@lls to ask about it. after a few minutes the manager actually said he would discount the last one he had for the price of 299.00 without a coupon. what a guy. :cooldude:

Try going on line direct with H F. Lotsa times the coupons are on line and nowhere else. Sign up fer their mailing list-it's FREE and they send a LOT of coupons you can use. I've noticed i get a heads up being on the mailing list about sales about a week BEFORE they hit the print media. Speaking of which i have found a number of those 20% off coupons in the Sunday papers. Hope this helps. :cooldude: RIDE SAFE.

Every motorcycle magazine I get has a sale page from HF. This lift is almost always on it.

I emailed a copy of the ad to you. If need be, I will put this ad in an envelope and fire it off.

I've been drooling over this table for some time and wonder if anyone out there actually has one / and how it works / there are times when I think that Harbor Freight sells some CHEAP stuff [good for part time use, but very good NOT quality in all tools]. I wouldn't want to buy something that'll crash and burn with my bike on it.

Does anyone have one of these?

The first step in getting somewhere is deciding that you are not going to stay where you are.

I don't have one, but here's a video of one being used. I would say you should hook it up to an air source to save the knees from pumping it up.

I had one of those table lifts.....(the operative word is "had") and fortunately I sold it shortly after I got it for just a little more than what I paid for it, so I didn't lose anything on it.  They had it on a Pre-Christmas sale price for 279.00 (no coupon) and I used a 20percent coupon on it.  I tried it, and thought it was a bit short, the wheel clamp needed to be moved forward so that the rear wheel plate could be removed and rear wheel dropped.  I did make an extension and put a modified front wheel chock/clamp, but still didn't care for it that much.  I think it took up too much room in the garage, and ended up parking a bike on it even when it wasn't being used as a lift mainly due to it's size.  I didn't think it was all that stable for some reason and my garage isn't really high so I really couldn't use it as well as I could the Yellow Lift/jack (of which I now have 2).

If you have the space to spare and a nice taller garage, it might work for you.  But I prefer the Yellow Lift/Jack.

I've included a review of the item you are interested in :

from Fort Worth, Tx.
PROS
price
CONS
No service parts
Poor quality pump
Unsafe tire vise
BEST USES
Large boat anchor
My motorcycle weighs 869 lbs. In the last year since purchased I've used the lift probably 18 times. Now the pump is out and no service parts are available. Making the extended warranty a neccessity, after which time you still a large piece of scrap iron. I should have bought a better lift, elsewhere.
BOTTOM LINE No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I am already on the mailing list, but this particular coupon is hard to find.

I went this route and happy I did, easy for me for many reasons.  The base is about the same length and width as the HF lift except you are not lifting an additional 200lbs . I liked the scissor lift rather then the push forward lift type. It is easy to see and work under the bike, I have shook the unit with the bike on it and it is stable  Check out the first part of the video.

I like that one.  :cooldude:

I have that exact one and like it.  When I lift the Valk it does seem heavy but as I see it your almost at its limits, but it does work well.

I did change the wheel vise with one from their air/hydralic one and I moved it a bit forward as one member stated it was too far back to remove the rear wheel through the hole provided. (for the Valk, other bikes it worked well in the factory configuration)

I probably used it two dozen times so far with no issues.  I've even rolled it 10' or so with the Valk on it (something you probably shouldn't do) so I could put the truck in the shop.
I've backed the Valk up on it to replace the forks and triple trees and that worked real well.  To me it is quite steady.

If I worked on bikes for a living and use it many times a day I'd probably buy a better one but for my use this one works well.  I do have a 24'X40' shop so I have enough room to store it in the corner when not in use.
Also it does come in real handy as an adjustable work table if not being used for the bike. I intend to build a wider, removable table top for it so I can put my riding lawnmower on it.This way I don't have to crawl around on the ground working on it (at 55 that is not the easiest thing anymore).
Remember, if you are on a bike and wreck with a car no matter how "in the right" you are you are going to lose. RIDE LIKE EVERBODY IS OUT TO GET YOU!!
