I have a 98 Valk that I have a large leather bag / trunk on the luggage rack sitting on a small piece of plyboard ... anyway it over laps the luggage rack pretty much so in a pinch I cut a small piece of 1/8 " plyboard and spray painted it black to fit the bottom of the leather bag to keep the sides from drooping .... my question is I want to replace that home-made platform with some chrome  ( if possible )  flat metal that would look a lot nicer about the same thickness of the ply board ...  Any ideas from anybody where I might find some metal like that to mount on the luggage rack ? Thanks the Geezer crazy2

Fort Walton Beach, Florida I'm a simple man, I like pretty, dark haired woman and breakfast food.

You could cut a piece of aluminum and polish it.  It'll polish up pretty easy and look close to chrome.
