The guy I sold my CB to is selling it again in the classifieds... those things really get around  ;D

He seems to have acquired the manual, but if someone here buys it and wants to see them, I
took notes (and pictures) on how it was wired into my tourer...

I have been thinking about putting a cb on my tourer, would love all the advice and help I can get.

The IS one would not work.
I put a JMCB2003 unit on my 97 standard.  Also has intercom, weather radio, hooks up to GPS, MP3.  Works good.

You can see it on the left handlebar. A little to the right of it, you can see the cradle for the Zumo 550.

Blondie's '99 Tourer has one of those units installed. I recently added a Kennedy Technologies FRSet4 and a set of interfacing cables; this allows one to use a FRS/GMRS or a ham rig in conjunction with the J&M's intercom/headset function. Meaning...your helmet's headset can be used to supply TX audio and listen to RX audio from the companion transceiver.

Having a communications option besides CB is handy, especially when you're at one of the larger rallies and all 40 channels are tied up ...  :o
