radio in bags

thinking about putting radio-cd player  in one of my bags with headphone jacks run to the top of the lid,,anyone ever done this??Any opions??

I've seen it done ....It pretty much takes all the space in a OEM saddlebag...Guess that would be alright if you never plan to go anywhere and need a place for " stuff "

I used to have a Honda PC800. I put a Sony stereo & amp in the left side hard bag. That was several years ago, but it came with a wired remote that I ran to the handle bar. I could operate everything on the stereo from the remote. If they still make it with the remote, it worked really well.

If pure looking at using earphones why no go ipod or mp3... More music / less space.

Ipod for CDs, in fact you can pick your favorite tunes off several hundred Cds. AAA battery based AM/FM radio. You can fit them both in a shirt or jacket pocket and leave your bags for tools, parts and a nice picnic lunch.

You could try to put a turntable in your trunk and speakers in the saddle bag, but is has to be foam mounted very carefully so as not to skip over the records.  And watch out for the pot holes or else it can cause the record changer to drop a new record down when you don't want it to.  The power inverter could fit under the seat I think.



All in fun.....  they make portable satellite radios now smaller than a pack of smokes.  Heck, I got MP3 music on my phone and can just use ear buds.  Ain't technology great.

I guess I`m a "stick in the mud " but,,,,, when I`m on my bike I need to be aware of what`s happening around me, and looking at the road and the left turners,  not listening to "TUNES". I know I will get some hard ass that wants to start a fight, but this is MOP. Please don`t run over me while you are listening to your "tunes"  

BTW, if you need tunes, get in your recliner and chill.

The I/S IS my recliner! Everyone should ride the way they want to. That's the freedom we were looking for when we bought motorcycles. I like tunes on the hi-way, you don't. Why fight?
