Japan and it,s people

    My wife Bette and I were in Washington D.C. this morning
and we stopped at the japnese embasy.
    There is a book you can leave a message for the the
people of Japan. Was a somber trip inside the embasy.
    The people of Japan are lucky that there base comes from
their old ways. There has been no riots looting like there
was after some of our storme or blackouts.
    Just goes to show you that maybe,just maybe the
old ways come out on top.

I was watching Diane Sawyer talk about homeless people staying in a gymnasium in Japan, and they were cleaning after themselves, recycling their garbage, helping one another.  The first thought that came to my mind where the idiots in the super dome after Katrina.  b-itching about everything, demanding everything, destroying everything, AND THEY KNEW THE HURICANE WAS COMING!!!

To get something for free, and then complain about it is disrespectful.  To know of impending danger and do nothing to get out of harms way is ignorance.

If you want my unabashed harsh opinion, those cultures are created from the outcome of previous culture clashes in an attempt to "make things right"  At first it seems to work, which encourages expansion of these programs.  The newer members of the targeted culture get the benefits of the program without working for them, and they soon believe that they are a "privileged class".  People that believe they are in a privileged class expect things for free, and want exemptions from the rules.  You only have to look at rich celebrities to see that in action.

I am not a member of either "privileged class", nor do I want to be.

Japan's culture is one of taking care of each other.  The old are taken care of by their family members.  It has always been.  We, on the other hand, don't have time for anyone but ourselves; for the most part.  It is a shame that our politicians were allowed to create a welfare society that has mushroomed like the clouds over Japan.  Now they are wanting to give illegals entitlement to social security, when there is nothing left for those of us who have contributed to it for the last 40 plus years.  Professional politicians are self serving.  They do not serve their country or their constituents.

I noticed that the welfare abusers seem to have the same "privilieged mentality as the rich. "give me everything for free, hold me accountable for nothing. The only thing the average American gets out of this is we get to fund the grand experiment.

They also understand work and as a people have a strong work ethic, unlike many of the people in this country.....

I think it can be boiled down to a single word:

entitlement

When a group of people is brought up to feel entitled to something, well most will not be happy until they get it, and How they get it may not remain very important as time goes on.

We have too many such groups here in the USA

You look at all the people they show in video and pictures from Japan....It's all " one " people " one " tribe...No mexicans , no blacks , no whites, etc .etc. etc. It's birds of a feather .....The trouble you speak of here in America was because we have way to many " tribe's " .

I have to disagree on that. I agree that the many "tribes" do not integrate well and that compounds many problems but around here they will turn against their own in a heartbeat to benefit themselves and disregard the cost to any and ALL others. Spoiled Americans !
