Mobil 1 15w-50 sale

FYI everyone,  In a my area, St Petersburg, FL  Advance Auto Parts are running a sale on the Mobil 1 15w-50 synthetic is on sale.  They are offering an oil change special, 5 qts plus a mobil 1 filter (Mobil 1 M1-110 is our size) for $32 and change.  I think this is a pretty good deal.   Check it out in your area if interested,,   (no affiliation yada, yada, yada)

Found this on the Autozone website:
New at Advance! Buy 4 quarts of Mobil 1 motorcycle oil and a Fram oil filter for just $39.99. Oil change specials cannot be in your cart when using a promo code.

I am not a fan of Fram filters, so taking out the Fram filter, price would be $9.75 per Qt.

9.75 per quart=24cents a quart less than regular price,= .96 less for an oil change. They still aren't losing much money.

My local Wal Mart had a clearance sale of $5.00 a quart for Mobil 1 15W-50. Maybe Wal Mart decided to stop selling the 15W-50. Many newer vehicles use 5W-30 and maybe the older, thicker oil just isn't selling as well.

We went to Advance Auto last night to get oil and filter for my stepsons F150, they had 5 qts of Valvolene full synthetic with Pure One filter for $27...Mobil 1 and Mobil 1 filter for $32.
I picked up a Pure One filter for the Valk while we were there

Mark, the 15W-50 is diesel truck oil.  My local Wally world doesn't have any but the shelf sticker is still in place.

Not and any Walmarts around Omaha.  The closest I can find is 10w40.

Been using Mobil 1 15W-50 in my Moto Guzzis for many, many years. Moto Guzzi does after all, have the correct engine configuration for an air cooled V-twin.  No harm using 15W-50 in the Valk but IMHO, 10w-40 is likely a better choice for it.
