I have desided to put a set of driving lights on my Valk.  Have looked at most all of them I think.  And body got a preference?  I really liked the ones on my other Valk mad eby Rivco but guess they don't make those anymore.

If you're talking the big hiway passing lamps on each side of the std/tourer headlight, I don't know.

But I think the PIAA 1100Xs are about the best light you can add to a motorcycle, I have a pair mounted to to my forkwings on an interstate, and they are brighter than my 55/60 H4 halogens in the fairing, even on bright.  But properly aimed, I don't get flashed at night.   (the bulbs are 50 watt, rated at 85 watts each)  They look like they belong on a BMW and not a chromey cruiser, but they work and are small.

You have to work up your own mounts.  This universal Honda kit is supposed to be a front fender strut/bolt mount (like for the ST1300), but I am informed that you would need bolts a bit longer than come in the kit (quarter or half inch or so) for the Valk. Or the engine guards.  I would not mount them near the headlight(s) because you are looking to have the magic triangle of lights toward oncoming traffic.

sonny........you can still get the same brand lights that rivco had at advance auto, they have to order them for you.  they cost about 1/4 of what you paid to rivco.  rivco stated 55 watts when actually they were 50 watts.

I have seen many different kind of the lamps themselves. Its the mounting brackets that to me are just as important. I really like the way the Rivco's mounted using the original turn signal mounts.  Many of the others have a big round or flat bar that runs accross the front end.

I'm currently working on making my own rear fender rack, guess I could try and make my own brackets too?

I used to have standard cobra sealed beams.......they were worthless as far as lighting the road.  Upgraded to these cobra spots (they use H-3 bulbs) and they are great looking kinda like mini Valk headlights and they light the road as much as my headlight so they double my road vision at night.  $50 each and worth every penny

Hi, I have a Std. also and like the look of the spot lights you have on your Std. What part number are the lights and are the "visors" an add-on that I see on E-bay? Also, I can't quite see how you actually mounted the lights.Lots of chrome! They appear to be mounted at the same place as the turn signals. Any other pics and an explanation would be helpful.
Thanks in advance, Larry Gill in East China Mi. cooldude

+1.  After seeing the pics of them on ChrisJ's Valk, I installed them on Sandman.

Hi Larry.  The lights are Cobra BLV4-9002.  You'll need 2.  The visors are part of the lights.  ChrisJ and I mounted ours on the discontinued Cobra light bar for the Valkyrie.  The new lights replaced the standard light Cobra installed on those light bars.

Thank you for the info. I wonder if I might find another light bar like that, sure makes it all look very nice. Do you know what the part number was for the lightbar? My bike is the (my name) "9-ball yellow and creme". Thanks again,

Larry, BLV4-0141 was the Cobra part number for one of the two lightbars we're talking about.  The only difference between the two was the way the turn signals mounted cause Honda changed the turn signals.  Good luck on finding one.  They've been discontinued for a while.  If you do find one, you might have to have it rechromed.

Marty

P.S.  Shorten the name to 9 Ball.  Sounds better.

Where to buy them (Cobra BLV4-9002)? The links I can find are charging $63.
