I always thought a Road Glide would be the best candidate for a liquid cooled engine.  I picture a chin scoop below the headlights with the radiators mounted inside the fairing.  The fairing sides could have shark louvers for airflow.

Looks like the love child of a Road Glide and a V-Rod.  Not too shabby.

Not a bad looking bike, a couple mods like a larger tank, and a slightly better design on the saddle bags to match the lines and they would have one hell of a nice bike.

Recent frame changes to the R. Glide, and I think all dressers ('09?), was (partly) to accommodate future radiators.  Not that they want them, but continuing EPA requirements will eventually.

I have seen a few HOG dressers that have the V-rod engine retrofitted. 

When they have something really reliable, more than 2 cylinders, water cooled, for about the $8K I can get a minty Valk for, I may look at it.   When pigs (Hogs) fly!

The '09 touring frame change was mainly to accommodate the new Tri-Glide.  I doubt radiators were even on their mind.

I've ridden a Vrod & if they are going to use that engine in a big cruiser or tourer it will need some revisions. The Vrod is a teenie little thing totally unsuited for "normal" sized adults to tour with, IMHO. The engine is lacking in low end grunt but boy does that sucker come alive when you get the R's up! 
Poke it, stroke it, re-cam & re-map that sucker & it would make a hellacious big cruiser powerplant.  Alas, the knuckle draggers would reject that concept out of hand.  HD probably would name it some lame-azz thing like "Super Deluxe Heritage Hot Potatoe Classic" FXWCHARXLT. 
And of course it would be $65K. 
At least they would have something I'd want to look at & ride in their showrooms! All I do now there is buy birthday presents for my brainwashed friends.
Seriously, I would love to see Harley put some good effort into a project like that!

....I agree....this bike caught my eye last month, when It was featured in Cruiser magazine.....it looks extremely wicked in black....and Id buy one tomorrow if that I had the Xtra cash....flat 6 or not !

My thoughts exactly.  Rode the Concours 1400 today, and if that is as smooth and sounds as good, I may get intrested with the above mentioned mods.
