I bought these, black. http://www.motorcycleanchor.com/tire_valves/index.htmInstalled on my spare rim, can't use the stem holder, but I like the low profile and the ridged feel, will make it easier to check the air.

Those patchboy stems are the ones to get, everyone that I know (including me) who has them thinks they are just right... I made an Amazon order the other day, and it occurred to me to look and see if good stems could be ordered there. I added a set of these to my order, Carolyn said they came to the house today... I wonder if they'll work? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003JO84SO.453 inches = 11.5 mm Patchboy sez: .453" rim hole Amazon sez: Tapered seat allows for installation in 10mm and 12mm seatings. Maybe they're talking about the same thing I'll look at them when I get home, but I don't guess I'll be able to find out if they really seem like they'd work until I try it, and I really hope it would be obvious one way or the other before the tire got mounted -Mike

Daniel, if you use the ebay link tank posted you are buying the valve stems from Patch Boy without their astronomical shipping. Patch Boy charges $5 for ebay purchases. Marty

DAMMIT!!! after being told by 7 sites that they don't ship to Canada I get to BikeBandit. They will ship! Yeay! Clicked Paypal and OK and then see...2 valve stems, shipping $68.00! Can't stop it now. cursed alcohol, makes 2 valve stems $34.00 each. Hopefully I can cancel. 15 minutes later. So far, no PayPal notice in e-mail. Maybe I'm too drink to purchase! Yay me! Fred.

Fred, Ordered a pair from link in Paul's post in Jan, he even called me back to confirm stock & postage to Canada. Total was $8.75 air mail to Ontario, fast shipping. Has other good stuff also.

Tried Rick's Auto again, same error. Probably due to the 'free shipping' for continental US and my Canadian address. I sent him an E-mail asking him to calculate shipping to Edmonton and will await his reply.
(wasn't really that drunk, just amazed at the $68.00 to mail me 2 steel tubes the size of cigarettes!)
Fred.

I believe you have to trim the tab off the wheel that holds the plastic clip for the stock stem to use these...

I was at the Post Office here in South Carolina the other day, I had a OEM petcock I was sending off... it cost $5.XX (plus a couple of bucks for insurance) to send.... someone mentioned sending something to Canada... Because of stuff I've read here I started wondering how much it would cost to send the petcock to Canada... the postmaster threw it on his scale and looked up someplace in Canada... $5.XX... -Mike
