I bought these, black.

http://www.motorcycleanchor.com/tire_valves/index.htm

Installed on my spare rim, can't use the stem holder, but I like the low profile and the ridged feel, will make it easier to check the air.

Two or three years ago I installed the chrome Patchboy stems. No complaints.

Those patchboy stems are the ones to get, everyone that I know (including me) who has them
thinks they are just right...

I made an Amazon order the other day, and it occurred to me to look and see if good stems could be ordered there.

I added a set of these to my order, Carolyn said they came to the house today... I wonder if they'll work?

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003JO84SO

.453 inches = 11.5 mm

Patchboy sez: .453" rim hole

Amazon sez: Tapered seat allows for installation in 10mm and 12mm seatings.

Maybe they're talking about the same thing  Wink

I'll look at them when I get home, but I don't guess I'll be able to find out if they
really seem like they'd work until I try it, and I really hope it would be obvious
one way or the other before the tire got mounted  tickedoff

  From older post.

I got some from JakeWilson.com.  $2.00 each and cheaper shipping.  combined with other routine maintenance items.  used them with tire change about 1k miles ago.  work fine.

Daniel, if you use the ebay link tank posted you are buying the valve stems from Patch Boy without their astronomical shipping.  Patch Boy charges $5 for ebay purchases.

DAMMIT!!! after being told by 7 sites that they don't ship to Canada I get to BikeBandit. They will ship! Yeay! Clicked Paypal and OK and then see...2 valve stems, shipping $68.00!
Can't stop it now. cursed alcohol, makes 2 valve stems $34.00 each.
Hopefully I can cancel.
15 minutes later. So far, no PayPal notice in e-mail. Maybe I'm too drink to purchase! Yay me!

Fred,
Ordered a pair from link in Paul's post in Jan, he even called me back to confirm stock & postage to Canada. Total was $8.75 air mail to Ontario, fast shipping.
Has other good stuff also.

Tried Rick's Auto again, same error. Probably due to the 'free shipping' for continental US and my Canadian address.
I sent him an E-mail asking him to calculate shipping to Edmonton and will await his reply.

(wasn't really that drunk, just amazed at the $68.00 to mail me 2 steel tubes the size of cigarettes!)

I believe you have to trim the tab off the wheel that holds the plastic clip for the stock stem to use these...

I use those and yes I did need to cut the tab from the wheel.  Very pleased with these.

I haven't looked around his site for other products yet, but I assure you that I will.

I was at the Post Office here in South Carolina the other day, I had a OEM petcock I was sending off...
it cost $5.XX (plus a couple of bucks for insurance) to send.... someone mentioned sending something
to Canada... Because of stuff I've read here I started wondering how much it would cost to
send the petcock to Canada... the postmaster threw it on his scale and looked up someplace in
Canada... $5.XX...
