I just jumped on the scale in the truck stop, down to 266.  just cutting back abit has helped a bunch.
I guess I'm one of the Americans struggling with hunger, actually I'm kinda liking it.

when I used to pump iron alot and I'd get sore I kinda liked that too.  :crazy2:

I know, I'm sick  :2funny:

Since i retired-well thats another story. The valk ain't told me one at a time-yet. :2funny: If you frequent the truck stops(my personel observation-no affiliation-no monetary gain etc etc) Flyin j t/a and my favorite Petro all have good salad bars. yeah yeah i know rabbit food. If that ain't your thing-all those t/s just mentioned have the lite menu. Just like anything else-gotta pay attention to what yer doin. :crazy2: RIDE SAFE and for you EAT RIGHT. :coolsmiley: Oh darn b t w-stay away from the BUFFETS. Okey dokey-now just go do it. :cooldude:

Wow... you're just a little feller ain't you?

I am fatter than I have been in about 15 years.  I blame it on the insulin.  When I started on insulin, I seem to be hungry all the time, and I didn't lose the 30 lb during deer season like I normally do.  So... rather than 310, I am currently 340.

I have been cutting back, and getting serious about the gym.  The Ol'Lady has 16 personal training sessions that she's paid for and not used at the gym, so I been using them.  I have been to 2 this week, and let me tell you... those personal trainers can KICK MY ASS in 30 minutes. This guy works me to the point of muscle failure in every exercise with very little time between them.

I have been doing a fair bit of cardio as well several times a week.  I hope it starts soon, as I weighed 340 yesterday still.

But ... I am a very SORE 340 this week.  If I got down to 266... I'd be down right anorexic.

I was 270# @ 6' tall in January, down to 213 this morning. Goal is 200.

Hey Tom, wanna have a weight loss contest? I just weighed myself this morning and it was 236....about 25 lbs. more than before retiring seven years ago. My best weight is lower still...about 190-95. On a 5'10" frame that works best for me. If I were to get down to the suggested weight the charts say, I'd be all eyeballs and teeth. Like you, I pumped iron for some time and still have a fair amount of bulk so can't lose below a certain amount. I'm going back to my weight machine now, like Jabba....I haven't been this sore in a long time.

When are you headed back and doing some riding. All that work we did will be for naught.  ;)

Congratulations on a good start.

Eat less, move more. It's a lifestyle thing, not a one time shot.

I've lost 20 lbs over the last 2 years, I'd like to lose another 10-15.

Eat less, move more. I keep telling myself. Intellectually it makes sense. That doesn't make it easy...

Good to hear some of you all are trying to get weight under control.   :cooldude: :cooldude:

Most of my life I had the other side of the issue, trying to gain weight.   Finally succeeded in my late 50's.   Now I am like all the rest, need more exercise and less food.   Since I am hopeful that I can ride the Valk into my 70's, I do lift weights to keep the legs and back strong.  And walk to keep the old ticker working.
