Official wrench parties are not held in the heat of summer!  So it'll probably be in September.

Unofficial wrench parties can be scheduled any time we're home and not otherwise occupied.  How does June work for you?

june would be great lyn-del.  it can be during the week, too, if that works for ya'll.  just let me know a date or if you'd like me to contact you at the end of may.  also, if you guys do a weekday ride sometime, i'd like to join you.

Most of our weekday rides are impulse things.   Lunch rides, usually 100-200 miles.  If you want to come ride with us, let us know when you'll be coming down, and we'll likely get the urge to ride!

I know there are some tricks to it - and don't tell "Naw, it's easy...."

i'm looking into putting bigger slow jets in.   still waiting for feedback from a buddy on that one....
i have a throttle lock that needs to go on and a license plate lamp cover to replace.  and new adjustable clutch and brake levers that i was given.  oh yeah, i have a new air filter too, that i was given as well.   
i think i got it all in.

38 slow jets install, turn my pilot screws out 1 3/4 turn from seated, and carb synch.

You do understand the carb. block will have to be removed (from the bike ) to install the slow jets, and wile thy are out should be cleaned. That will take at least one day and maybe more depending on what we run into. Why do you think you need 38 slow jets, is it running rough at idle?

yeah, i hear it's a pain in the arse.  it's not an immediate thing that needs to be done, but 'i'd' like to get to it one of these days.  we should wait until it's cooler outside, anyways.
i know a bike guru who got my sabre running tiptop (in n.c. smoky ride tim and i were just got back from) and i'd like the valk to do the same, eventually. but like i said, we can wait on that and talk about it when i get down to your place for the other stuff.

38 slow jet will not make your bike run any better. The only reason for changing is thy are less likely to plug if the bike sits a long time. A good fuel adative before sitting will do the same thing. If you are looking for better preformance you need ajdustable needles and  larger main jets ! But your MPG will suffer a little. Slow jets only work up to about 2000 rpms.
