I wonder if any enterprising VRCC members have contacted Rattlebars to inquire about a license to manufacture the kickshifter since they retired?  I know that I am not alone in searching to buy one.

If you find someone to make them please let me know, I would be interested in one myself.

Thanks
Mike

I would give it a try, but I need one to measure. No luck on getting one to look at.

I can make the drawings, just need to model it. I can design one also, but easier to badge engineer.

i've worked up a redesign using way better bearing system and it's out for bids right now. i'll know a final price in a week or so. id like to keep it in the $150 range.(i have an in with a chromer) if it works i'll have 50 made up ahead of time and will be able to ship priority mail upon order. that was my biggest complaint, ordering and waiting, they will be pre-made and boxed ready to ship.

I don't want one, and I don't know the difference between the rattlebars kind and
the other kinds...

Is this a good one?

The eBay description is that it is slightly bent, but if it is the right kind, it should
work as a model for a fabricator...

Mike I believe that is the MCE shifter.  The floorboards are on a separate auction.

I'll take one as well. I emailed Chet on the possibilities of publishing drawings, but got no answer.

Did the same thing, but didn't get a response.  So I measure one and made a cad solid.  Can supply a print if anyone is interested...

The Kuryakyn "heel/toe" shifters for the GoldWing 1500s are still available.
They can be adapted to work on the Valkyries. And they (when properly set-up) look very good and have very little slop in them.

They are?  I checked Kury's website and can't find them.  Do you know how to set up Kury's shifter?  I have one and it is frustrating the hell out of me.

X Ring, I believe the opening was at about the 11:00 position so that it does not contact the pipes while shifting, and you will need to adjust the rod length..

I've seen several lately at two different GW specialty stores here in lower MI. May no longer be in the current catalog.

Yes, they can be frustrating to set-up. Once installed properly, they do work!

I've had both the Kury and the Rattlebars shifters but, I do prefer the CBR1100XX shift levers and have them on both my Valks.

This is too bad, it seems the few that are out there are going for twice the price as the originals. I would really like to try this, don't like toe shifting much!

Just found one on eBay $299.99 and $60.00 to ship it. WOW! Guess I won't be buying one.
