Bolt for Saddlebag Guard

  I was riding around yesterday and heard an intermittent little rattle.  When I was able to stop and look around I saw the bolt that holds the front part of the saddlebag guard to the frame had fallen out (marked in red).

  A 12 mm wrench fits on the one on the other side.  I don't see it in schematic from Direct Line.  It doesn't look like there is a washer on the one on the left side. 

  Does anyone know part number?   ???  I may go down to Ace to see if they have similar, but it has chrome head and I like my chrome.

Take the other one off and go to Ace hardware. Should be able to get one in chrome.

The OE bolt is chrome with it's own head-washer built in (like many of the fasteners on the bike) (flange bolts?).  I could never find those at my local specialty hardware, so I used nice polished Stainless hex head 12mm bolts and stainless washers on one side  (my bag guards only came with half the longer bolts needed).

Only you will know they don't match..... and I had long forgotten about ordering the correct hardware from HDL.

   Thanks for part number longrider.  # 35 on this schematic.  .  I am ordering some things from HDL this weekend to take advantage of Memorial day sale so will throw a couple of these in also.  probably go by Ace tomorrow also to see what they have until I get order.

Those aren't Honda bag rails so anything stock may not work. The stock rails have a spacer that is about an inch long and needs a long bolt to tighten up.

The best bet is, like mentioned, Ace Hardware!

Bag rails are definitely not stock, but they attach to the OEM bag guard at their front attachment.  So missing bolt is for front bag guard attachment, not the bag rails.  Pretty sure bag guard is OEM so I did order a couple of #35 bolts.  Will not be shipped until after Memorial Day, so Ace should hold me until they arrive.  thanks.

Bag rails are MCE and clamp to the stock bag guard; therefore, the bolt for the stock bag guard attachment point at the passenger is needed.
