I've seen him a few times. Always a good show.  Love his music.
In San Diego there is a bar/stage venue down by Fiesta Island. You can park at the north side of the island and kinda see, but the music bouncing off the water and having time to blend and come together is fantastic. He turned around and faced us across the bay and said he knew we were there and didnt pay to see him. He told us he had a kind of respect for that and told us the next song was for us. He played "A pirate looks at 40". Every body honked their horns and turned on the headlights. Boy that got the party really rollin. After the song he let us know he had no idea there was so many of us and next time we should buy a ticket. Hey, a fellas planes need gas too.

I used to like his music but lost all respect for him with his concert in Orange Beach after the oil spill stuff..won't listen to him anymore :'(
