I plan on headin' out in the morning ( thursday ) for the highest point in Kentucky ( Black Mountain ) . I'll cross over the mountain into Virginia on Hwy. 70 near Ben Hur / Pennington Gap .Weather is going to be beautiful with nothing but blue skys and sunshine. If everything works in my favor this ride and the up-coming Cheaha Rally will be my last before I start back to work on May 4. If you're in the hood look me up I've ask Lucky 13 to join me but did'nt get a yes or no so it just might be me on a solo ride into " The Blue Grass " .

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

..

I'm riding up to Cookeville, TN Friday to meet some of the Atlanta riders. Dashing around somewhere Saturday and home Sunday.

Staying at the Days Inn South Walnut St.

Big Don sent me a e-mail about being in Cookeville but I had forgot about it ....Are they in Cookeville now ? Will they be there tomorrow ? I cleared my e-mail account and cannot find it now.

Yep, there will be 4 riders there tomorrow night.

Then I ride up solo to arrive about 5 on Friday. Coot and Randy get there about 7.30 Fri evening.

( Thursday morning ) I gave some thought about going to Cookeville to hook up with Big Don and crew but with Cheaha next week I don't need to be spending $$$ on motels. Y'all ride safe we did that area back in the winter a couple times if you've never rode " Calf Killer " then you should it ROCKS ( exit 300 ). Black Mountain, Ky. is my plan today with a few State Park stops .Picture of my Suzuki Bandit 1200 at the highest point in Kentucky (  State line Kentucky / Virginia Hwy. 160  ).

Hey Joe,   be careful today,  have a good ride .................
I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music.

I like Black Mtn. The coal mine museum is interesting.

Coal dust in the wet makes for interesting riding.

In fact I believe KY has the most forms of 2 wheel treachery on its roads in the SE. Coal dust, coal trucks, logging trucks, sawdust trucks, wood chip trucks, gravel trucks, rock trucks, coal mine entrances, quarry entrances, road heaves, deer, pick up drivers, farm equipment  etc etc
