Interstate armrests

OK, so I have a new to me Interstate, that came with passenger armrests.  They appear to be from Big Bike Things.  Either I'm being stupid, or you can't open the trunk with the armrests installed.  Is there another armrest style out there that allows you to swing the armrest out of the way entirely?
