Viking Saddle Bags

Does anyone have any experience with Viking saddlebags with the shock cut out.  I have a 98 Standard and am thinking aboout replacing my OEM bags with the Vikings.  They seem to be of good quality and the price is half what it used to be, probably because there aren't any more Valks being made.  Pics would be nice if you have them.
