So I bought an inexpensive small video camcorder for use on my Valkyries and I'm looking for some ideas on mounting. I need it to be able to go between using it on the standard with a windshield and the IS. I shot a little video through the car window and I wasn't happy with the reflection and glare so I think I would prefer it wasn't mounted behind the windshield. The camcorder is a small flat one about the size of a smart phone and has the threaded tripod mount in the bottom edge. I'm thinking about mounting it on the top of the engine/crash bar just to the side off the Interstates radiator pod. can anyone recommend a mount or clamping device?  Any thoughts?

That is where I have mine mounted, less vibration. I had it on the handle bars, and every bump would shake the camera. On the crash guard the picture is smooth, plus a good view of the road ahead.

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you're in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

The question is not what you look at...but what you see...

+++1 on the Ram mounts. Used them to mount air monitoring equipment on heavy equipment during rail incident cleanups. Usually good for  WAY more weight and abuse than designed for!!!
