Rp I need your help with my Valk Radio

PapaHotel:
RP, I think you were the one that gave me some info on diagnosing Valk radio problems last year. I tried to find the posts on the old board but they are gone.
I was unable to locate them in my Valk folder, so I think they are gone. Do you still have the info on step by step procedures to isolate radio issues?
TIA PH

If you explain the problem maybe I can help.

RP#62:
I don't have anything saved, but post the problem and me and others will jump in.

I have an Interstate. Basically the clock works, but pushing on any of the audio control switches has no effect. I cannot turn on the radio or change the time on the clock.

Take your controller off of your left handlebar, turn it over you’ll find about 6 screws that hold it together, they’re Philips head screws.  Open it up and spray some electrical contact cleaner between the contacts, let it sit for about 5 minutes then blow out any excess.

Same thing happened to me last year.  I got the contact cleaner at the local hardware store, make sure it’s for electronics and not anything that’ll peel off your paint and turn plastic to a sticky tar!!  So stay away from carburetor or break cleaners!!

Hope that works!!
