Alright we need to get an oli list together for those that are wanting change it. Joe will have Amsoil on hand if that's the brand you want to use but we need to know how much you need. If you are band specific that's fine to we can pick it up from the store, just reimburse us for it. Either way just send me a private message so that I can start putting a list together.

Hello all, new owner here.  Since just starting out, I have about 1000 questions as I usually do all my own maintenance, yet have no experience with the Valk.  In this 1st month I have found the buzz bolt, and gotten rid of most of it, but still curious about what the experts think.  I would sure appreciate the chance to meet, help, and learn all I can about this bike.  If someone could send me info about this wrench party, I would be forever in debt.
Thanks,
Steve

PS:  In Mulvane by the way, so anyone close, let me know.

The wrench party is going to be in Topeka (as far as I know the location hasn't changed) but the Date is a little up in the air at the moment, I believe we are looking at a weekend in November?

Hey Steve welcome!  :cooldude: The wrench party did get changed till after November 1st due to a conflicting event at the proposed location . Not sure of the exact date yet, ??? but I am sure Joe will chime in and get it set soon. Joe Studebaker  :uglystupid2: is our state go to guy about our Valks, pretty good wrench who loves these machines and working on them.  You'll find the VRCC  :) is a family who are all willing to help with projects and problems, country wide and internationally too! You found us so I am assuming you you have found the tech board as well, a great resource for anything Valkyrie related.

This Kansas board is new  :D :coolsmiley: and in it's first few weeks of operation  :o so we are learning here too. We also have a facebook page called the Kansas Valkyrie Riders if your so inclined. Guys and Gals are stilling learning about this board.

I am in North Newton we have several riders around the Wichita area.  :cooldude: There are several in the El Dorado area, Augusta, etc. I will let them intro themselves. I work a 24/7 job that has me in and out and all kinds of weird hours and no schedule, :tickedoff: but I try to keep up with the boards when I can and meet up with riders and rides when I can. The Kansas group is a growing  :o fun bunch  :2funny: and I am sure you will find it the same as well. We try to get together when we can  ;D and that is the best way to meet a lot of us, just show up.  :cooldude: We will try and post rides, eat an meets, when ever they happen. We love out of the way, hole in the wall type places, so if you have one set a date and give us directions. We are not real formal, although we are trying to get a bit more organized, we usually start out by talking about riding and then doing it.

Anyway, welcome Steve can't wait to meet you! :coolsmiley:

Welcome Steve.  Im up in Salina, if you ever make it up this way, give me a shout.  Im always looking for a reason to get the scooter out myself.  I am a new valk rider as well, only had mine since Memorial Day and already managed to put about 3200 miles on it with out even trying.

I met up with these guys at Cassoday a couple months ago, and they have really been a great bunch of guys to hang out with and always willing to offer advice, answer questions, and help you out of a bind.

You will have alot of fun with these guys and gals, and we are always up for a ride.

The wife and I try to hit Cassoday every month, and since we are the only ones up this way, we usually meet up with John and the rest of the regulars when we get there.  Just look around the cafe, you will see someone from here sitting out front pretty quick!

Welcome aboard Bartman!!

We are thrilled to have you in the great state of Kansas...(most tease us about being in the flat lands, but we are equal distance from both shores so that is an advantage...ha ha).  Nonetheless...

I will be able to give everyone a date to be had for the Wrench Party by next Wednesday.  It is possible that we could still have it Oct 29th weekend (20% chance), but I think most would not be able to commit to that date with it being a short notice.  80% chance it will be Nov 5th weekend.  I am not wanting to do it the weekend of Nov 12th due to the Hockey day planned for dinner and hockey game in Topeka saturday night.  So I would almost lay money that without a doubt it will be Nov 5th.

If there isn't a problem for everyone to do it on the 29th then we can do that too.  Chances are I will have Jason-O's bike over here that weekend anyways just to get a head start in dropping the motor.

PM me if you have a question or you need to call me I will give you my phone number and address that way....

Sorry, I have been busy working and getting ready for the Extreme Makeover:Home edition yards that we are putting in next monday.  Should be a fun experience...

Bartman3562

Thanks guys.  I look forward to meeting all, but like someone else said on here, I am also a bowhunter, so I will not be making this wrench party.  This bike amazing me more every day.  The smooth, massive horsepower really makes the pulse race.  We looked for 2 years deciding on what we wanted, and shopped for almost a year to find the one we wanted.  Was well worth it.  :cooldude:
I have a sister in Bentonville, so we go down each year for BB&BBQ, and I'm thinking Inzane will be a required trip too.

wdvalk

welcome bartman,Where you from,i must have missed it,im in El Dorado

Bartman3562

I'm in Mulvane.  Go through ElDorado all the time, as I hunt in Eureka.  I actually rode the bike over last Sunday as we were building a fence around the food plot.  I need to get a picture up, and hopefully won't get to much ribbing, but mine is actually a TRIKE  :cooldude:  I flew to Phoenix on the 10th of September and rode it home.  Owned it 48 hours and had 1074 miles on it.  And so far, I am VERY happy with it.  We researched for a year, then looked for a year before we got the one we did.  It is a 99 I/S with a Lehman trike kit, green and silver, and 60,000 miles.  Even with that, the extra weight, and all, it still screams past my hopped up mean streak that I owned before.  AND, I don't shake for a week after a long ride and I can hear the radio  :)

wdvalk

Look forward to meeting you

Hoser

If I had the cash I would have a trike to go along with my tourer.  Hoser  :cooldude:
I don't want a pickle, just wanna ride my motor sickle

Untimely I know, but I'm going to order some "2RS" double-sealed wheel bearings and have them UPS Air'd so I can get them Friday.

If anyone wants me to add some for you, let me know by 2:30pm (Central).. the shipping is about $23 whether I order 2ea or 10ea.
They've got some in stock, though I didn't ask how many.
I'll check back here prior to ordering.

KSDragonRider

Yeah, i ordered some for Joe and I... then I will not be able to make it Saturday..
I will be watching my 3 year old while the wife and 5 year old go to a "princess party" all day.

Rob I have 12 of the single row so don't order any of those... I do not have any of the double rows.

Was there someone that wanted to do the double row rear wheel bearing mod?  I should have one spacer already grounded down if you want to do it.  I just don't have a bearing for you...

Let me know.

upjeeper

WamegoRob - what brand did those bearings end up being?

WamegoRob

Sorry Up, that was over 4 months ago and I don't remember the brand.

KSDragonRider

the ones i bought are called "all balls"  I have  a pair of double rows sitting on the shelf if someone is in need in a hurry.
