I'm looking at buzzing down for the day on Saturday - we have a week long trip starting Sunday down to Donna so have to figure out how I do this.  Might just stay over Sat night and leave out early Sunday.

Just made reservations - talked to what sounded like a young guy who kept telling me that the 17th is a Tuesday.  I kept telling him Not In February.  He finally agreed with me.

I hope I have a room when I get there.

i spoke with aaron.  he may have been a bit more competent, tho not too sure of cancellation info but said 24 hours or morning of.  i had to remind him of the vrcc cost and he said he'd take my word for it until he checked other vrcc reservations.  confirmed date about 4 times before hanging up and got a confirmation number, so hopefully...

sounds like another phone call is in order for you franco6.

Super Santa

I will try to call and make sure all is taken care of this afternoon.

For others trying to make reservations, I have had the best luck communicating with the manager, Kevin.  Usually found after noon time.  Any others having difficulty, post here and I will try to make sure all is taken care of properly.

Thanks for trying.

Rocketman

I'm thinking Early Bird is doing it again.  He's set up the reservation for a month early.

(:

Super Santa

OK, to set all hearts at ease.  I just got off the phone with the manager, Kevin.  He has reservations for: Dorrough, Dubiton, and Finger, all for the 17th and 18th of February.

So far we are all on the up and up.

Super Santa

Maris, your friends are invited along like last couple years.  Please extend invitation to them.

Bandit

OK Ray what is the temp going to be like this year :-X,thinking of trying to make it this year :cooldude:    Bandit :crazy2:

Super Santa

I can probably do as well as any other 'weather guesser'.

My guess is going to be with temps between 50-80 degrees.

How does that sound?

Super Santa

Bump.

OK, need a little more activity on this one.  I really thought the Dallas / Fort Worth area of Texas would be all over this ride this year judging from the comments I have heard during the year.

Looking forward to whoever can make the ride.  Central Texas....where are you?

Santa Chuck has already planned our route.  It believe that it includes "Geezer's Corner" for those of you who remember that one.

Can't wait.  I want a road trip even if it is just a weekend.

Hey Ray,

Howdy from Central Texas!

Yep, planning on being there and looking forward to seeing everyone Friday night -- February 17th -- at the Heart-o-Texas Motel!

BTW, every time I take Old Geezer's Curve I remember your advice from '09..."Make sure you are in low gear and you'll be alright."  (or something to that effect)

We will be there with TP and Nancy. Staying at the house in Cedar Park.

Would really like to start the year off with some wild game BBQ, but I have a date with the SO on the 18th in La. Yall eat enough for me and Ride Safely.

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

Super Santa

Sorry you wont make it, Eli.  You can always bring her along....

Red Diamond

Sorry Ray, after 46 years of marriage, I allow her to make certain entertainment dates, I'm stuck with this one. Don't mention the "I allow" stuff around her though, she may get brave enough to make more like this one. LOL

Super Santa

Now that you mention it, our 45th anniversary is coming up in a week.

I best not forget that.

My son can get tickets for us early and have them for us when we get there.
