If you're lucky enough to ride a Valkyrie, you're lucky enough.

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you're in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

Carolyn and I jumped (parachute) with a static line twice. I've
seen parachutes all my life, there's no hesitation about
whether a parachute will work. I remember the feeling I
had when they opened the door to the airplane and it was
up to me to leap out.

Now I'm imagining standing on that cliff with those two flaps
hanging under my arms...

Nope...  :coolsmiley:

Skydiving is one thing.  I have over 700 jumps (freefall)   When skydiving the closest you intend to get to the ground with an UNOPENED chute is 2,000'.  I dont think Id enjoy inches from solid ground at that speed.

Two totally different sports

No doubt. But both have that point where you leap off into the void. When that time
comes, I want a parachute, not two flaps sewed under my arms, I don't care how
much fun that guy was having...
