Let's save the Barack Obama jokes for another place and time.

If you (any of you) feel driven to start new threads from a deep interest in stirring the political pot or beating on your own political chest, let's give it a rest.

Oss

any resemblance between these 3 and anyone running for
office is coincidence

If you don't know where your going any road will take you there

When you come to the fork in the road, take it

That picture could probably be anyone in office, present, past or future.... it's just their nature and must be part of the job description.

thanks for that. :cooldude:  the guy is our president, like him or not.  somtimes it is shameful the posts about the president.  on the other hand i think we should post what we want even if  it is against the president or the other people running our government.

I don't much care either way, but I'd be curious to know if there were similar admonitions to refrain from bruising delicate sensibilities during previous presidencies?  :-X

It seems like a pretty normal American pastime to poke fun at politicians of all persuasions ... but BHO isn't fair game? SMH.

You've got to be joking.     I'm not looking for a fight but, an administrator is squelching the bill of rights?  Wow.  I don't even tell jokes but................. well, never mind.  Didn't know it was gonna be like that here.  Yeah, I'm disappointed.  Doesn't matter which politician we're talking about, they're all fair game.

I would tend to agree, but I think he such an easy target, and that in itself is probably unfair.

I think its because most of the good jokes anyway are too TRUE to be very funny anyway so they just incite arguments between the two camps.  It was fair game on Bush because no one really got mad. A joke is a joke.......but with this guy its too easy......theres sooo much truth to the joke/insult it cuts too close to the sensibilities of the Obama lovers.  Still, its seems wrong to restrict these priceless jokes from being shared.......everyone I tell loves the one about Nancy Reagan.....Now that is funny!

Not to my knowledge, but the board has not been around for a lot of previous presidents (barely more than one to be precise).

Honestly, it's not so much the harshness or that he's the president.  When someone or a few someones keep banging the same old tired drum and starting thread after thread doing so it's time for a little rethinking.  If a poster appears to be posting for the sole purpose of inciting an argument or polarizing the community, a thinking person would have to ask himself whether that poster really has the best interest of the VRCC community at heart.

I did and I arrived at my own conclusion.    8)

I'm not.  Sometimes I really get tired of babysitting.

That's good, because you can't have a fair fight with an administrator on this forum.

I won't take up explaining the Bill of Rights, but perhaps one of our legally trained members would do so.

Thank you for the "never mind".  I'll comply   :)

Fair trade..........this whole thing is as funny as one good Obama joke  :2funny:

Kinda like the Tebow thing, try and make fun of him and his intent of giving more glory to God is magnified.  Try to stop people from insulting somone that deserves it, and a similar opposite effect occurs.   I promise I wont tell any Obama Jokes in here

This is too bad.  I really liked the one about the Nun, Blonde Hotty, Texan and "The Prez"on a train. :2funny: :2funny:

Instead of restrictions, why not just start a string like the "I rode to work today" one.

Members can read them or not.

I thought Barry was a joke, however bad.
