Has anyone mounted a sissy bar using the studs for the rear trunk? So it can be an easy on easy off set up?

Pete

Yes, by making a set of arms that fit the studs and and turns up like the sissy bar mounts/luggage rack mounts.  Search for Super Valk quick conversion and you will find some info.

I chose to use the standard fender struts that accept the luggage rack uprights.

Yep to switch back I have to change the fender struts back.

After taking the trunk off, I like i so well off I never want it back on.

I am designing these brackets...anyone have an idea on an optimal angle for a back rest for two up riding? No sillies I do not want to put the trunk on that often...

Here is the most well executed solution I have seen but don't ask me for plans, these pics were posted on this site years ago and I copied them with hopes of doing it. I also took off my trunk and haven't really missed it, I changed the fender rails and use the Honda sissy bar. In fact I bought a tee-bag and rack for the back this year. The pics show what can be done if you have the tools, know-how and a good plater. It's possible that these are a modified set of trunk rails.
