Just got word this evening that one of my twins Amanda has been accepted into the WVU grad program to pursue her PHD in math , last week she was accepted at UNC in Chaplel Hill . she still has a few applications pending that she has not heard from...but it is cool that she will have some choices .
The other twin Kelli will finish her double majors at WVU in May with degrees in Public Relations and Marketing . She did an internship with Prime Resorces in Annarbor Mi. this past summer and was offered a position with them last week also , plus while she was in Pittsburg three weeks ago to accept a national adward for her public Relations marketing accomplisments she was approched by the head of Burson-Marsteller in Pittsburg and handed his card and told "Lets talk jobs"
The youngest boy Justin is in his fourth year at USC after doing 4 years at WVU and is pursuing his PHD in philosophy , he has been awarded fellowships for the past year and the next two so he can fine tune his writings and research ,Sad to say but I understand only about 20% of what he tells me he is involved in LOL.  But it is cool to Google him "Justin Snedegar" and read some of his work in metaethics ,practical reasons ,and philosophy of language . ...If you want a challenge pull it up and try to read some of it...lol  make's my head hurt.
My oldest son Shane continues to do real well in the vending bussiness at festivals and fairs all up and down the east coast , if your at one and need a waffle cone or turkey leg he can hook you up . Look for Miller concessions . he will be the tall good looking one.....not like his old man  .
Oh yea  they all love my Valkyrie Motorcycle . so it fits this forum

Super Santa

Sounds like a mighty fine brood.  You are justifiably proud.  Congratulations.

... and as I shifted into second I couldn't remember a thing she said.

Hey Ron, if she takes the job in Ann Arbor and you get up this way were only 45 minutes away.

Jess from VA

Congratulations on children well raised.

You have every right to be proud.   :cooldude:

I hope you have some money left for old age.

I tell them all....when I get old .."I expect to be in the best old folks home there is "  ;D

Gotta give credit where credit is due....they spend most of the time with their mother , we divorced when Justin was 8 and the twins were 4 , I was still very involved on a daily basis , but mother was there every night checking up on school work and making sure that they all made it to church every Sunday . I was the one to explain life's lessons and such .
Each of the three earned the Promise Scholarship and worked at what ever was needed to support themselves 100% while in college . Justin and Amanda has maintained a 4.0 GPA from kindergarden---now . Kelli has always been at least a 3.92 GPA with a 3.97 right now . So ol dad has very little to do with it ..they each have to drive and determination to be the best .
The things I am most proud of is all are very involved in regular life stuff too . kelli is an avid rock climber , climbing whenever she gets an afternoon free , Amanda has headed up the Elite Dance Troop at Concord University for the past year , danced in it all 4 years . Justin being 6'4" 160 lbs is a very active basketball player on a competive league in LA. He and my oldest Shane being 6'3"  played in our TopGun basket ball league against Bimbo Coles , the Olympic Gold medalist and was always both starters in every game . So I am proud of them being so well rounded ...not just book nerds LOL

3fan...yea I plan on hooking up for the scouting ride

Highbinder

Ron, congratulations to you and your family on their accomplishments...looks like they all have great futures in front of them, you left out your own achievements of the last couple of years, with the successful business that you and candy girl have built up...you've come along way in the last couple of years from what I can see...been a pleasure knowing you and watching your success, see ya on the scouting ride... :cooldude:

Candy and myself are very pleased with our bussiness venture...we know it all hinges on next week and next month , but everything seems to be moving foward for us . I put in alot of hours overall ,but I also have alot of fun with what I do and I see more mechanics relying on me every week for their tool needs . Word is I am their "go to " guy now when they have needs . It's a good feeling to gain their trust .
I was told early on that as good as Matco Tools are......that most buy from their distributor because they trust them and like them....works for me . Every day i just think "how would my Mother want me to deal with my customers "and then carry on that direction . My Mom is 71 years old and weighs 130# , but believe me when I tell you that she would kick my 270# ARSE if I treated anyone unfair. :LOL
