Okay I have a confession, :o I have been a member of the Valkyrie Riders Cruisers Club since 2001 my # is 12023. I guess I have been a minority for all those years but you know what " I DON'T CARE". :o I seem to be everything that alot of members of this forums seems to hate. I'm 58yrs old I live in Michigan, I worked in the auto plants for over 32yrs. as a proud UAW member, my mother worked in the auto plants ( an original Rosie the riveter) she is 93 and still drawing her GM pension (that she worked for). My dad worked in the auto plants ( both hourly and salary) my grandfather died in the foundry in Saginaw at age 47 from grey lung (same as coal miners black lung but from molten iron). I have been married for 35yrs to the same woman and love her more now then ever before, why well she has lived with me for 35yrs. that is a major thing right there.  :o
I have been retired for 10yrs and am on Social Security Disability,  >:(  why well after working for over 32 yrs and being injured on the job, having over 10 surgeries in 8yrs the plant I worked at decided they didn't want me working there anymore so they put me out. >:( Do I have to explain my injuries to you NO, you see it's not up to you to decide if I qualify for SS its not even up to ME if I qualify for SS its the LAW. I have paid into Social Security starting at age 10 when I got my first paper route at the Saginaw News, I continued to pay for the next 48 yrs. you want to call that an entitlement program your right it is and I AM ENTITLED. :cooldude: You want to judge me guess what "I DON'T CARE". :o

OKay lets move on, guess what I'm a middle of the road DEMOCRAT, "oh no" that dreaded word. :o I also have a license to carry concealed and believe strongly in the second amendment. :cooldude: I believe some folks when they are down and out may need a helping hand once in awhile I'm fine with that. ;) I don't believe people should be blood suckers living off the government, that would be people that NEVER PAID IN. >:( I believe good teachers should be paid well (yes my youngest son is a HS Physic's teacher) so should good doctors, good firemen, good policemen, good soldiers well face it anyone who does their JOB should be paid well. :cooldude: I believe that's what our Country was founded on. Do I believe and agree with everything the Democratic party does or puts out NO I don't, you see I have my own mind and can think for myself. I have many friends in this club, I have never asked if they were Republican or Democrat you know why " I DON'T CARE". :o I will associate with who I want why because I have my own mind and I can. :cooldude:

Get ready its getting better, I am a practicing Catholic "Lord have mercy" I was raised that way. I have friends who are Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, Nazarene, Jewish and yes even a Muslim. You know what "I DON'T CARE" You believe what you want to believe I'm good with that, you know why because I have my own mind and can think for myself.  :cooldude:

So lets see I'm retired young (58), I'm on SS disability, I've been married for 35yrs.,I'm a UAW Union member, a Democrat and a Catholic. I seem to be just about everything that's wrong in this Country according to alot of folks on this forums and guess what "I DON'T CARE" I am what I am.  ;)

My purpose in this confession is simple and true, I enjoy riding my Valkyries, with my son's on their Valkyries with my wife on her Spyder and with my friends on whatever they ride. :cooldude: I enjoy reading some threads on this forums and skip over others. I no longer give a rats ass who likes me or who hates me, I choose to hang out with those I want not because of their religion (or lack of religion) their politics (or lack of politics) their motorcycles (or lack of motorcycles) I have my own mind and can think for myself.  ;)
With all that said if your in my neighborhood and want to stop by don't let my politics or religon my disabilities or my union stop you, just stop in the doors open. If your in my area and broke down call I'll try to help you know why " BECAUSE I DO CARE ABOUT IMPORTANT THINGS" .

Now I know some people are going trash me OKAY you see I'm guess I'm just STIRRING THE POT at-least I'm open about it. :cooldude:

You had me until Catholic.

;) J/K We actually have a lot in common, cept I'm a few years your junior.
Boxer rebellion, the Holy Child. They all pay their rent.
But none together can testify to the rhythm of a road well bent.
Saddles and zip codes, passports and gates, the Jones' keep.

Well, not being Catholic, I'm not sure how to approach this but, if I got it right from another good Catholic friend of mine, you obviously need to go ride.  Go forth and spread the word, riding is good for the soul.

If you ever ride down toward Kentucky way, give me a shout, we'll break bread together.  Ride safe.

You know you and I are pretty far apart on some things and
pretty close on others. I have a next door neighbor who is
my polar opposite in almost every way and we are the best
of friends. It takes all kinds and if we were all kinder to each
other this would be a much better world for everybody.

Bob and Devl are great people, I'm proud to call them Friends.

Karen

Honestly, Bob, after the way you treated me when I showed up at InZane in Michigan with a bad front wheel bearing, I'd be the first to say "YOU DO CARE" about the important stuff. All the stuff you don't care about, well, it's not important, so why should you care? Top drawer, and I hope to get a (non-car) ride in with you one of these days. Great post!

Dave Ritsema

Great Post!  :cooldude:

You know your already family to me.  :)
Hope we can get together this summer on the road somewhere with you and that beautiful wife of yours.

Well Bob, we never met.  In reading your post I think of the "statistics" we have come to live by in this country from sports to politics to the work place to friendship we...analyze, tag, label, list, categorize, chart each other but funny how we don't see to fit neatly into any...none of us do. But aside from that your acquaintances know you as a good and honest person and that is the most important reference; so hopefully one day we will meet.  Until then continue to live to your own values they are good.  God Bless
