I am an old 64 year old retired guy. Only had my Valkyrie for about 3 weeks. Had an older goldwing before that. Riding yesterday down two lane blacktop I was wondering why Honda chose to put 6 carbs on the 6 cylinder to make the 100 hp. Got to the end of one road and looking both ways on a quiet Easter morning I could see no cars coming for at least half a mile both ways. Decided to let her loose for a few gears. Acceleration is not just strong, it is fierce (as you know). As an old muscle car guy it reminds me of a mini boss hoss somwhat (see youtube videos) In a drag race against a boss hoss he would have more power but he better not spin off the line or miss a gear or all he would see is a blur and the sound of 6 cobra pipes coming by him. Something about the 6 carbs on the 6 cylinder engine makes it run silky smooth with tons of torque and instant throttle response. As soon as you can get the throtte twisted wide open it is on the red line and ready for the next gear.

That's one of the reasons they call her The Dragon!  :cooldude:

many years ago i raced what they call sprint cars on dirt,, we had 850 horses to play with and these cars weighed about 1450 pounds..massive amounts of torque...and would wheel stand if you hit it to hard,,one day while on the Valk i took off as hard as she would, with a car tire on the back,,,that thing took off so hard it made me dizzy and all the people could hear was me,,,SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!
