Does anyone have a  tip on how to clean my aluminium wheels.

I have had good luck with Blue Magic. I had the polished wheels and it would really shine them up. The more I worked the polish in the better it shined. I had Mothers but could not get the same shine. I know one person on here used Blue Magic or Mothers on their grips and it would turn their hands black, I would wash then wax my grips and wheels after polishing them and the black would come off.

I believe 2000+ were clear coated and maybe all Interstates.

That appears to be a '97 in his profile pic, so clear coat won't likely be an issue.

IMHO .. The best stuff is  Busch Aluminum Polish...
It  takes out some pitting.. And really makes the rims look great !!!
Picked up a bottle way back in 06/07 in Johnson City.. AT DOTS or Inzane...

I agree the stuff works great and cuts the funk off pretty easy....Most Pilot Travel Centers and Flying J Travel Centers <<<<<Fancy name for a truckstop has it on the shelf .

After washing the rims good and clean as I could get them, I used 0000 steel wool and soft scrub gel kind says won't scratch on the bottle rubbing gently at first to get the road grime off pretty good.  Still have some stuck on stuff that will never come off, but when I bought my I/S 4-5 years ago, it looked like the rims were never washed or cleaned once previously - YUCK!
You can buy a whole bag of 0000 steel wool at walmart for only a few bucks.

After done, put a good coat of your choice of aluminum polish/wax on the rims to prevent road grime from sticking as much as possible.

I have a '97 and a '00 and they don't have clear coated wheels.  Not sure what year that started.

Yeah... I only WISH mine were clear coated. One of these days when I've got a bit of cash just laying around begging to be spent, I'm going to have my wheels chromed. It'd be worth the money just to not have to polish the cursed aluminum.

It works great on aluminum wheels as well.     I use it and have been very happy with it.

My wheels were neglected for a few years and I had to use a green pot scrubber with soft scrub w/bleach, then used a Brillo pad.  Wiped em dry and used White Diamond with a Mother's Mini Power Ball.  Now I just touch em up every so often by hand as needed.

BF, yes, White Diamond will work great.  It is the second best polish you could use on aluminum...or chrome.  The Best is Magic Mix.  Both products are almost the same.  If both were on the shelf, I would buy the Magic Mix.
