Viking saddlebags

Has anyone here purchased any type of saddlebags from this outfit? They seem to have good prices, but their reviews seem a little shady to me. Their reviews happen to be placed on the same day, a few minutes apart, and repetitive. Soooo any review or feedback from someone here will help me tremendously in my decision making process.

I bought a set of saddlebags from Viking for my wifes Vegas (Victory Vegas Prima Motorcycle Saddlebags). Very good quality for the money. Service was good and shipping was prompt.

Stay away from this company!! I bought a Viking Century Studded Trunk from them for my Valkyrie. I call them before I order to make sure the trunk would fit and they said they had sold 100's of these trunks to Valk owners. When the trunk arrived you guess it it did not fit. They only way to open it was to take it off the bike every time which made it non functional. This product has a 30 day money back guarantee. Now the fun begins. Called customer service and they told me call back between 8 and 5 because this was only the answering service. Call the next day and i got and answering machine and i left a message. This went on for 2 weeks and final was able to talk to a person( which sounded like the same guy who told me this was the answering service) and they said to send it back at my expense and if the was no wear and tear on the product they would refund my money. I took pictures of the product and than sent it back. i waited the 5 days after they received the product for my refund and you guess it again. No refund!!! Now starts the phones calls to try and get my refund. After 3 weeks of putting up with all the calls to them I finale contacted my credit card company and contested the charges and after 30 days my credit card company refund my money. I will never do business with them again and if you do you do at your own risk.

WOW! Just read the complaints on BBB (thanks Ron). It looks like its a hit or miss with these guys, and with. my luck, I will be the one that will somehow get on that BBB complaining as well. I guess I will continue looking elsewhere. Thanks for the heads up.

I guess so.  I remember that when I recieved the saddlebags & mounts (which were free), I broke one of the mounting bracketswhen installing them.  Called Viking and they had a new set at my door within 3 days, no questions asked.  To me that's good customer service.

Tony I'm glad that things went well for you with Viking. I along with many others did not fair as well. I have already posted thier BBB rating, but to show you I'm not alone here are a few other Motorcycle forums that have had some of the same problems as I. Everyone should make your own decision concerning this company, but I think these guys are just bad news.

It's been my experience that you usually get what you pay for.....and those bags are, uh....inexpensive.

Checked the BBB rating, and looked up my company just to see what was on there, have had my own company for 15 years now.  My company is rated A+, with zero complaints in 15 years, with over 1,000 customers.
