Wheel Balance weights fell off, so now what?

I just had the new tires balanced. Three weeks later, I found a 1 1/4 ounces strip of peal and stick on the floor under the bike.   I'm thinking about dyna beads or ride on. What do you like?

I've run Dyna Beads for the last 3  years with perfect results.

I'd do the beads and see what you think.

Take it back to the shop that balanced it and tell them to do a proper job with clip-on weights that were designed for the rim.  Why should you have to pay extra money to re-do the job they did poorly?  That being said, I put Ride-on in my rear tire.

I just added dyna beads to the new rear tire and like the results - smooooth.  I'm going to pull the weights of the front and use the beads there as well.

Gryp, I would go back but what are the going to do. Don't want to take the wheel off. Does the rideon need to be put in at warm temps and riden to it hardens?

Am i reading the dyna beed site correct 2 OZ in the frount and 2 OZ in the rear?

The ride-on can go in at any temperature and never hardens.  Look for instructions and videos on their web site and you'll understand.

Update, I went down to my Honda shop yeseterday. They said they have another wheel balancer bead product they have been using. It is called Counteract. The beads are like Dyna Beads. The difference is these beads are glass. They claim there is no dusting and a static charge will keep them in place when the wheel is stopped. So they don't have to rebalance the wheel. The installation kit was 29 honda dollars. I removed the  weights and put 2 OZ in each tire. I had the bike up to 80 and it felt good.

Counteract product is available at most tire repair supply stores.  I picked up 8 ozs at the one near me for $22 (2 four oz pkg).  Stealer wants $30 for 2oz plus install.

Sorry I got carried away. Its so seldom that I find something tha actually works as advertised! I havent used lead weights for 1000's of miles now. Shop around and buy by bulk. You can get some pretty good deals on the internet (or locally) and have plenty left over for the next tire change. Thing is during a tire change, they get all over the floor no matter who does it. So its best to just replace them. I had doubts about them but after the first set of tires with the beads I was sold

Like Dozer, I've had good luck with Dynabeads and have even reused them once. Certainly cheaper than Counteract. There's no reason why anybody couldn't install Dynabeads. Got to do more research about Ride-on, sounds like a good product too.

I dont think Ride On or Slime will work with any kind of beads on a routine basis...they'll clump together.  However,  if you are in the wilderness and have a flat, who cares, right? I wouldnt hesitate for a second to put it in my flat tire if it got me to a place to either fix or replace it. Its a lonesome, lonesome feeling to be on the side of the road with no help in sight.

You don't install Ride On after you have a flat.  You put it in before.  It seals the pores in the tread area and since it is a liquid, it also does the same job as Dyna Beads or any similar balancing product.  Yes, it is incompatible with them also.

Oh! Okay. I never used it but I did use Slime in my bicycle tires. It made a smooth road feel like a cobblestone at 20 mph. I assumed Ride On was the same way. My bad

Ceramic and glass beads do not seal punctures in the tire.  They only provide balancing.

Perhaps you're thinking of a different product, but Ride-on doesn't turn into little balls, and they don't specify how soon you have to ride after installing.

I took mine off and never put anything back on. Rode fine for 22k with no abnormal wear.

I've never seen the inside after adding Ride-on, going on what I read on one of their flyers at the tire shop.

Said, unused/unseated gel/foam beads up and is then able to dynamically balance the tires, then acts as sealant with tiny punctures filling the holes by way of pressure and heat.

Regardless, it differs from ceramic/glass beads in it's sealing properties.

I just used RideOn for the first time. I used it to fix a tiny leak on a tire with just
a couple of thousand miles on it... I was looking for an easy way out, without RideOn,
I would have gone through the whole rigmarole of taking off the wheel, taking off the
tire, fixing it with a patch from the inside, cleaning and regooping all that final drive
stuff, yada yada yada... it was a tiny leak, hard to even find, but it seems fixed.
