Sat, May 5th Anna & I celebrate 48 years of marriage. I guess we are survivors, Her with cancer last year, no sign of it now. My self a stroke 9 months ago, totally recovered now. We are like and old Timex watch, just keep on ticking. By the grace of God, we still are as much in love as when we met in 1962.

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you're in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

GRUMPY;
Congratulations! :cooldude:

On "Cinco de Mayo?" (5 May?) That is perhaps the most important day in Mexican History. :o
It celebrates the Mexicans beating the French at some battle that I can't recall... :-[

As I see it, that's no big feat. Anybody can kick the French's ass!  :2funny: :-X
Indeed, "Cinco de Mayo..." it's a great excuse to play the Accordion and drink lots of beer!  :uglystupid2: :tickedoff: ;D

Most Mexicans would argue that Sept 16 is the most important day in Mexican History.  Cinco de Mayo is a drinking holiday celebrated by people in the US of Mexican descent, a handful of folks in Puebla and beer companies.  But about anything that is reason to party can't be all bad.

Thanks for all the good wishes, I feel I have been real lucky, have a great wife that under stands some of the weird stuff I do. She tried to talk me out of riding a couple years ago after my bad crash, she had reservations when I started riding again, but she supports the choices I make. Cannot ask for any thing better that that.  :cooldude:

I agree that the September date ought to be the more important date. But frankly, most Mexicans I know
do not see September 16 as a big deal.  :o  Indeed some regard Cinco de Mayo as Mexican Independence Day. ???

That's not to say that September 16 is not celebrated as well. But in my observations,
there are way more festivities on 5 May than on 16 September. :o

My extended family and wife, all of Mexican extraction, they party hard on 5 May.
Yet, I have never been invited to a September 16 celebration. :-X
