alternator autopsy

My alternator died last week, and I replaced it with a new oem Goldwing alt.  When in took the old one off the drain for the dragon snott was off the T connector. The alt was full of oil and dirt when I did an autopsy on it and this may have killed it.  I think my lift adapter my have knocked it off.
