Asking for a friend.  ;)

I'd be embarrassed to answer any question having to do with a "Bung Hole"  :-[ :o :-X
The key thing is to wake up breathing! All the rest can be fixed. (Except Stupid - You can't fix that)

I'd call The Jack Daniels Store at 1-888-325-JACK (5225).  I bought a used barrel from them to make a trailer a few years ago.

Ha Ha, yea, but that is what it's called.  :crazy2:

The barrel in question is a 10 gallon. It's brand new and arrived without any holes. Need to know the diameter of the bung hole and whether or not it's supposed to be tapered. I was thinking 2" like the in the link from Bonzo but since the barrel is a lot smaller, maybe a 1" hole is more appropriate.

I'm not sure the size of the hole, but I own more than one bung.  We received them on a tour of the Yuengling Brewery in Pottsville, PA.  On the narrow end, the bung measures right at 1 3/4".  On the wide end, it is close to 1 15/16".  Of course this is for a beer barrel, not a whiskey barrel.

PM me your snail mail address, and I would be happy to send you a bung.
