Summer Riding Gloves ???

Looking for suggestions on some summer riding gloves.
It gets pretty hot down here in Suwanee, GA.

Quite a few armored mesh types around, I have several pair.  Try Joe Rocket Phoenix, or Cortex.  They do make a difference, but usually I find they run a little small, and have to get the next size up.

whatever brand, be sure to get REAL leather palm....not the imitation. the fake stuff gets holes quickly, not necessarily from falling either

Me too also on the Mechanix gloves. Great ventilation, comfortable, and
if you get caught in the rain they dry out fast!

Get some vented MX gloves.  I have some Moose Sahara gloves that are great.

wells-lamont leather work/driving gloves, i cut the fingers off for several reasons, but i have had the same pair that i use for summer riding for the past 6 years

I've been using Alpinestars for several years now and have been very happy with them. I accidentally found out that getting them wet (rained on) and wearing them while riding breaks them in very nicely. These should be a little tight when you buy them, as they'll stretch some while breaking them in.

I use a pair of 'cheap leather' fingerless. Good with ventilation. Not sure how they'd be sliding down the road. Helped a rider down on I-90 in SD last year and he wore out the palms as he slid down the I. But then I also had a Moto GP rider wear out his full fingered thumb to the bone when he slid. I suspect he had 'high quality' equiptment. So I really don't think it matters what you where when you slid as long as it's not bare skin.

I wear the Icon stealth when it's a bit chilli like in the 50's to 70's and they are a nice mild season glove and I have yet to find a good winter glove but I don't ride much when it is that cold out....

I ride with a winger and he had a pair of walmart gloves and really loves them but he kept looking at my gloves and finally asked to try them on and we had to go get him a pair...   He still rides with his walmart gloves every once in a while so no knock on walmart or cheap gloves.  To my amazement they were quite comfortable so whatever you choose make sure you try them on before you order them online if your looking for a good low price.  I try and support the local outfitters like motorcyclecloseouts they are riders themselves and I enjoy visiting with them.

I used those too until it rained one day.. then the dye came off the gloves and soaked into my hands. Took weeks to get them back to normal....

I have the above mentioned tourmaster gloves and like them, they replaced a set of first gear gloves, the fake leather palm was ok, but the feel of the grip was always a little weird

I just recieved a pair of Tourmaster II Gel Cruiser gloves from Riders Discount. The gloves look good but don't feel good due to being way too small. I take a large glove, these are marked large but can't be bigger than a true medium. I called Riders Discount and they Emailed me a form to return the gloves. Since I get to pay shipping both ways, looks like discount would not be the operative word.
It just seems to me that they should know and warn customers when sizes run small (or large) on a particular product, or line of products. The result of not doing that is that everyone who orders based on their usual size will be unhappy with what they recieve and with paying to ship the gloves back and forth, thereby eliminating any chance of getting the gloves at a reasonable price.
So be warned, Riders Discount will exchange poorly fitting items but you'll pay.
