This morning I woke up thinking how blessed we are living in the USA. Even read the "Declaration of Independence" to celebrate "The 4th of July".

Luckily we still have some freedoms left to ride our bikes and that gets me to a website I found researching motorcycle roads in AR.~TJ

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

Thanks, TJ.  I just read it, too.  Motus Motorcycles posted it to facebook.   :cooldude:   The parallels to the way I feel about today's federal government are eerie and scary.

Thanks for the info on Arkansas!  Can't wait to do some exploring!

I looked at several TJ, some are the same or near the route I planned to ride. I may have to alter my route a little to catch the southern portion of hwy 7, that looks really good to ride. I had planned to start from Mena and go east on 88, but seven looks soo inviting. Ride Safely.

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

Hey TJ, Arkansas is definitely a biker's bargain when it comes to choices.  8)

Lori and I just got back from Eureka Springs and routes 62 and 221 were wonderful rides.  :cooldude:

Can't even imagine what it looks like in the fall!

Gear Jammer

I'm with Eli,,, I may need to modify my route slightly as well.   A lot depends on the heat factor.  I may need a quick route to get to AC sooner rather than later,,,  Have I mentioned lately how much I hate the heat ?   :tickedoff:  >:(

Queen Wilhilmena lodge is closed.  They are totally renovating it.  Camp grounds open, and train running, but that's about it.

yea LD, I tried for three days to book a room on the net, kept telling me that none fit my criteria, so I called, only to find out the aforementioned info.

Mount Magazine and Oark General store are some great points of interest as well I am looking forward to riding them again in Sept when we head back up to the BBB rally .

It's hard to find a road that isn't good as long as you're in the northern half of the state, whether it's Mount Nebo, Pig Trail, or just going up 7, 9 or 65.

Just got back from doing Talihena to Mena, then up to Harriet and across 14.  I love the 14-87-66-263 loop ride down through Mountain View.  If you go through Mountain View, don't forget to stop at the old time soda fountain at the pharmacy in the square.
