This isn't meant to be funny and the link will take you to a site to test whether or not your computer is infected with the DNS Changer malware. It only takes a second to test it. Might as well do it.

Here's another article with more information for any folks who haven't heard about this by now.

You're exactly right, Stanley. And you don't know me from Adam Whomever. The best thing to do is do your own research and search Google for some information on the subject and go from there, rather than clicking on any links provided by me, or anyone else.

Search for DNSchanger malware.

Seems that I'm good to go. I was worried that I would be unable to access all the porn good information on Mr. Gore's internet.

It's just a scan that looks at what domain name server you're coming through.  If the Feds would have taken care of this when they knew about it instead of waiting 6 months that would have been a better service to all.  Keeping it up and running just leads people down the path of not bothering with the problem that's there.

Speaking of DNS servers, here's one you might take a look at.  Don't trust your cable company, don't really want you collecting data on your traffic?  You don't have to use them.  You can choose [url=https://store.opendns.com/get/home-free/]OpenDNS]OpenDNS.  Protect your entire household internet connection.

PC software protects the computer you have it installed on, but OpenDNS protects against data you don't want in your household.  Now a savvy kid can work around by using another neighbor's wifi, but at least you can do what you can to protect your family.  Watch the video and if you're comfortable fiddling with your router settings have a go at it.  I've been using it for years.

Title: Targeted attacks on Macs using new backdoor
Description: A wave of targeted emails was recently detected dropping a Mac-specific backdoor. The malicious binary, which are installed after users fall victim to social engineering techniques, is related to previously observed Mac backdoors which were distributed by way of Java exploits. As Mac attacks continue to grow in popularity, users are urged to patch frequently and exercise caution in running binaries from untrusted sources.
