It will never be the same again. I thought Columbine was horrific, this is just as bad if not worse. I am carrying 24/7 from now on.    I feel for all the families that lost loved ones. I feel for all the people who had to go through that ordeal. I don't know if anyone could have made a difference with a concealed carry because of the body armor he was wearing, but I sure as hell would have liked to try!

I've got a friend that did a tour with the U.S. Army right outta high school. Got stationed somewhere in northern Alaska. Ya know, one of those places where you drain the block on the Jeep for 5 months outta the year. When he got back he told me one time that their crime rate was less than 1%. I asked why that was & I'll never forget his answer.
"Because you don't walk into someplace with intent to do violence when you know everybody's gonna shoot back!"
You caint put the genie back in the bottle. Open carry should be required, & instruction should provided from junior high on up. To me that's how you solve most of this messed up s***!

Between the tear gas and smoke the sounds of a shotgun then rifle then handgun, panic and uncertainty... if everyone in that theatre had been carrying open, concealed, whatever in my opinion there would have been more people hurt not less. I'm not going to reinact scenes like Charlie Sheen in Platoon, also not going to get Direct TV. But I do pray for the souls lost and people affected by this senseless act.
