Valk wheels

Looking at inzane pics I think I saw one or two that had the wheels painted black. How would that look? Tacky? Think I saw a pic of one for sale that had the non chromed parts of the engine, fork tubes and wheels painted black. A nightrod Valk?

i saw this Valk in Bellaire Mi. three years ago.  i loved it.  thought the guy did an excellent job too. the only thing i didn't like was the lugage rack on the back. (i don't like lugage racks on cycles, it's just me)

Powdercoat is better than paint, and cheaper than chrome.  I don't think high gloss is as good as satin.

Every time I go after my aging aluminum wheels, powder coat looks better and batter. 

Something like this would be good on my black bikes.

I'm thinking of going to black wheels on all three of my bikes, including the Valkyrie.  One of the guys at work has an '11 Harley Street Glide and it's all blacked out, it looks fantastic. My Wing and Valkyrie are both black. My KLR is a '98 in the teal green/blue. I'm going to start with the KLR and go from there.

    I have never been a fan of black wheels, but that's just me. I guess a coated wheel is better than a grundie pitted aluminum wheel. A lot of the guys on the C5 Corvette forum are going for the "murdered" look, everything black, but I prefer the polished look especially on bikes.
