Americade, rooms and lodging

  To all who were looking for rooms for Americade this year.  My wife and daughter were crusing Lake George all day yesterday, and they tell me that up and down Canada Street (the main drag) many of the hotels are still showing "Vacancy" on their fronts.  I dont know what the situation is going to be at the end of the week, but things may be promising.  There are more hotels/motels south of Lake George in the Glens Falls/Queensbury area, and dont overlook the Saratoga Springs area less than a half hour south of Lake George.
  I have to give my wife and daughter credit as they spend most of yesterday placing my card on any and all Valcs that they saw parked on the side of the road with the rib ride information on the back!  I have no idea how many non -VRCC riders they hit, and how many more will attend the Rib Run, but it sounds promising.  My daughter even talked to a bunch of Harley riders and she had then drooling at the idea of the run!  If they show up, we may have to slow down a bit through the twisties (just kidding).
  As a PS, the weather forcast for Saturday is mostly cloudy, temps in the 70's and only a 10% chance of rain!
