I did consider doing that at one time. There are lots of videos on youtube with howtos and such. However all Ryan knows and push the go pedal until the battery dies and objects in the way be cursed.  I watched him slowly but surely out grow Grave Digger. He would have to fold himself into it to ride and finally without a word spoke between us about it he just stopped asking to go out to ride it.
The boy has a heart full of love and I am constantly amazed by him.......About a month ago he and I were out in the Man Cave and he says to me "PawPaw I know what I want to do with Grave Digger" to which I reply "You do? and what is that?" He says " I want to give it to Joel so he can ride it" All I  could do was give him a hug and tell him how nice that was......Joel is my newest Grandson of at the time just barely a year old...... So Grave Digger lives on to be passed on to others.

I saw some pics somewhere of those "little" monster truck go carts...the Shriners? used to ride them in our Christmas parades....I would have LOVED to have had one as a kid......

When I was a kid, didn't matter what it was we'd go trash collecting find an old horizontal shaft lawn mower and something with wheels, next thing ya knew the cops would show up and tell us to get the he!! off the street.  Used to get a regular beatin' when dad would find his tools left out in the yard.  Learned a lot doing that stuff.  Mostly what didn't work.

Evans' a lucky kid that his dad had the time to work with him on it.  Mine had 7 kids to feed so he was always working.

I have looked at these in the past as an alternative for Ryan.....The problem is he has no real use of his right arm and leg so everything has to be where he can use it. The other part of it is that while he is an 11 year old boy because of his cerebral palsy he is not as mature as your average 11 year old and is much smaller.....Fear not Paw Paw has a plan for Ryan's future transportation needs.

reminds me when my boy was 6 and bought his 90cc youth ATV, a can-am DS90 4 stroke.  He didn't have a clue on how fast it could go (about 33-35 mph) and I made the mistake of NOT using the throttle limiter down to say 15 mph the first few times out.  Boy, he was lucky on the ATV trail he didn't total it off the trail.  I constantly yelled at him to slow down the first few miles since he thought he could go full throttle all the time.  Now at age 11, he is almost too big for it and need to sell it for a good used price considering new they are 2300 bucks.
