Not much of a post.. But,, I pulled the drive shaft to check its seal.. I had previously pulled the pinion cup just to see if rear drive lube was really supposed to lube the drive shaft splines.. There was still no oil on the splines and the drive shaft seal edge was slightly rolled so I replaced it and there will hopefully be oil on the splines next time because I dumped some in the cup.. So far it seems to be staying there,, it hasn't rust-proofed anything that I can see anyway..

did you clean the oil holes out?
