Black Blown, Bobbed and Chromed....

Temps got down in the mid 80's last weekend so Uncle (Painter) and I decided to make a little ride down to the local Harley hangout and dealership on the search for victims to intimidate. Since my valk is temporarily out of order (Rebuilding front forks and waiting on saddlebag to return from the painter). I decided to test ride the blower bike Uncle picked up at Inzane from big BF.

We cruised down to our usual "stomping" grounds on the river road in Grafton IL. As always the bobber turns heads wherever it goes.

On our way back from Grafton, We decided to meander down to Ted's motorcycle world in Alton IL, which is a rare Harley Davidson and Honda dealer in one. As we cruised through Alton, a group of about 12 HD riders were behind us. One rider in particular kept riding up next to Uncle gawking, laughing and cutting jokes at the bobber. No harm intended, he was just having fun. A second rider from the group on  a bright red bagger, I beleive it was an electra glide or ultra classic. Cruised up next to us at a stop sign, He leaned over to uncle and ask "Is that think pretty fast....."   I smiled when Uncle replied, "Nope... But that one is" pointing at me and the blower bike. With that being said this fellow HD rider took off like a bat out of hell trying to scare us or something. I could tell by the sound and speed of his bike, he had a lot of cash tied up into it. I cruised up next to uncle and asked politely for his permission if I can embarrass this SOB in front of all his friends. Regardless if he would have said no, I would still have proceeded to do it anyway  :D . Uncle gave me a smirk of approval, and I stopped at the upcoming red light and waited for the green. I took of at the green light, and never even heard the sound of two cylinders popping. He was speck in the mirror within a quarter mile. I slowed down and turned into the HD dealership and waited. Poor feller didn't even want to talk to me, he turned in and cruised around the back of the dealership. I walked around back to find his bike but no rider. I noticed a big decal on his fairing that said "THE WILD ONE." I guess the infamous wild one was tamed... Damn the bad luck.......... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Those are some strange looking pipes on the rat rod.  How did you hear your uncle with those pipes in your face??

Reb, I believe that's the wrecked bike Painter bought from Big Mike.  I'm glad to see you all got it back in road condition.

I guess that whole story is a lesson in not asking a question unless one is prepared to deal with the answer.   ;D

Pretty sure that bike came from BigBF as I rode it through the parking lot at InZane...Ol' Gary came to InZane with two Valkyries and left with four with two of those being blower bikes...You Can't Hide Money  :cooldude:

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

My bad!  I do stand corrected.  My life partner and source of all my valid information called to tell me that Painter had indeed bought two black blown Valks at InZane.

I'm humbled.   :(

Ol' Joe got it right...

I would have LOVED to have had Big Mikes... but alas... my beautiful spouse was not thrilled when I briefly had a 3rd Valk and made money on it.  She was still happy when it left.

Looks like a real wild one, the bobbed and blown bike.

Have you ever seen someone with a 35 lb pit bull that thinks his dog is so bad that he has to keep it on a 3/8" logging chain to keep it from breaking free?

I've got a neighbor with the same ego that thinks he had to switch out his Harley's belt to a chain drive for the same reason.  (Never mind that BossHosses run belts all the time with 4 times the horsepower.)  Anyway, this guy owns a custom Harley shop and spends the monetary value of my Valkyrie every 15,000 miles keeping his engine up to speed.  Granted, the damn thing is very quick and he "claims" 158 hp on the rear wheel, but at what cost?

I spent a whole afternoon daydreaming over Mike's bike at Inzane.  I keep thinking how much fun it would be to "borrow" that supercharged bike, slip my Jade fenders and tank on it AND GO SMOKE HIS A$$.

I'd return home, put everything back on my bike and be business as usual.  For some funny reason, that would just make my day.

Naw, that's not my life dream.  I outrun Harleys all the time, it's no big deal.  I'd like to outrun THAT Harley.

BTW, I'd have to skip ole Marylin.  I can only imagine what she must look like after being dead for 50 years. :2funny:

Hey Willow,
FYI: Yup it was from me. I sold blown valk to Gary at InZane the day I arrived and Gary got blown valk.
