DFW VRCC September 2008 Meeting

Thursday 9/11/08 DFW VRCC Club meeting
Joe's Crab Shack in Grapevine ( Main St. and 114)
Come at 7:00PM to eat, and the meeting will start at 8:00PM.

Agenda items:
- Discuss past events and rides (Capt. Speedo has been on his bike since the last meeting!)
-  Ideas for upcoming rides (East, North and West of DFW). Bring the name of your favorite stretch of  road. We'll include it in future rides.
- Come tell the group: some tall tales, good service stories, great stretches of road, anything that involves riding bikes (preferably Valkyries).
- Don't throw them away! Bring your old motorcycle magazines to the meeting for others to read.

Calendar
*   No rides are planned. Got any suggestions for Saturday September 13, 20, or 27th?
*   Texas Ranger and Catfish's Cookout Sept. 26-28th. Is there a ride associated?
*   If  you are interested in riding on a Sunday, email or call me a we'll put a ride together

Here are some eating places that I can incorporate in a ride:

   1. Lunch at the Fried Pie Company  in Gainesville.
   2. Chicken fried steak @ Mary's café in Strawn, It is 50miles west of Weatherford.
   3. Rod's Barbeque in Canton
   4. Wildcatters Steakhouse, 7 miles southeast of the city of Graham . Near Possum Kingdom.
   5. Collin Street bakery in Corsicana which produces German fruitcakes
   6. Whitesboro Catfish Platter Sat 75-377W-82n
   7.  "The Shed" in Odom for Pie (forget about lunch)

Well I made it to the parking lot at Joe's just in time to see Dave's new wing, what a beauty.  I wish I could have made the meeting tonight but my daughter started the 6th grade this year and tonight was the night for me to meet all her teachers.  Gotta to do what I gotta do.

Well I heard that Rainmeker got a centerstand.  I got mine UPS today.  I hope I got time this weekend to install it.  I know that Daniel had instructions so I will read them before getting started.
