Wanted to watch the streaming Olympic closing ceremony on line at NBC.com.

Have to sign in with the login for your regular TV provider.

Well I don't have one so can't watch it

So F them and the horse they rode in on.

It's doubly frustrating because by the time they show the edited version this evening starting at 9 I will have retired for the evening.

Alarm clock set for 5.25 am. First day of school so I've gotta be on my game driving my big yellow bus on a new route in the morning.

Nearly 500 bus's leaving the bus yard in the space of about 20 minutes. Yee-Ha. It's quite a sight to see.

Finding a parking space is the challenge. Can't ride to work cause a group of us is shuttling buses and cars after the morning run.  :(

I got ticked off the the olympics before last when bob costas told us they were going to try to bring us as much of the olympics as possible. then all they showed was gymnastics, gymnastics and after all the medals were won gymnasts doing demonstrations.

i think that was back in the ninties?

If they eat your dirty underwear perhaps it contributed to their screwing up the  streaming Olympic closing ceremony that you wanted in the first place. :tickedoff:

I have the closing ceremonies still on DVR from Dish if the wife didn't delete it. Pretty sure she didn't. Anyway, I can put it on DVD, either in DVD NTSC or computer file format MPG2 if you want to keep it.  It was a pretty good show.  Anyway, just cover my postage, $3 will do it and I'll burn it & send it off.  I transfer it to the PC using DVDExpress DX2, resolution is MPG2 so it's not hi-res - actually it's NTSC - std TV resolution.  I'll check if it's on the DVR & get back...

Yeah I've got it.  It's 4:40 including commercials.  If I run it thru the editor and remove the commercials it will fit on one DVD w/o much compression.  I have to play it in real time while the computer records it, so it's not ready until I do that.  Then run it thru the editor to yank the commercials, and then thru the DVD creator to make the DVD files, if you want that format.  I don't mind doing it, cuz I'd like it for my own library.

Let me know.  PM or email, I'll get it started.  You can just stick $3 cash in an envelope or even just send me some stamps.  Of course there's paypal but they always take a piece...

Did you actually get the guy being shot out of the canon?  Watching it live, all we got to see was the guy after he had already landed.

OK.  It's a lot of effort for no pay anyway.  Just being nice.  I'm still saving it for my library - have a little time at the moment that I should be using for something else...

Yeah got the cannon shot - but they didn't light it well - you have to be looking for it.  Obviously a production SNAFU.
